Can only comment on the car boot they host which is great, they have put alot of effort into making new pathways for cars and pedestrians and there are now plenty of sellers. Nice way to spend a sunday morning.

Just back from the 2023 Great Harwood show. Always a great family day out with loads to see and do. Even better in glorious weatherlike today. Am knocking off a star however due to the ruddy-faced old harridan at the miniature pony event who rudely asked us to move from our picnic spot as we were 'in the way' despite many other families also being there who were not asked to move. I hope you get violent diarrhoea this evening!

Great Harwood car boot. Despite the weather we made it down. There were still stalls there. Good variety of stalls. Worth a trip down to get some fresh air and chance to buy some wanted items at a low price. Recommended.

Have just come back from our first ever visit to the Great Harwood “agricultural show” (2022) and am bitterly disappointed really. Just wasn’t what we expected at all. Paid £25 for a family ticket (2 adults and 1 child) which, for what we saw, is extortionate. First of all, the signposting to the place was pants! I (mistakenly) used the sat nav in the first instance and ended up down some God-forsaken road with grass growing up the middle. After a 7 point turn in a narrow passing place, we managed to pick up some signs to the parking and eventually parked with ease. (Parking was no problem, a large field, not too far from the show, hence the one star given). Walking round the show, there were no real signs telling you what was what or where to go. We wandered round and saw lots of horses, a pen of sheep and some caged show rabbits. The falconry bloke was doing a display, but it appeared as though his hawk (or whatever it was) had flown off and all we saw was a brief glimpse of something flapping in the distance. Even so, he continued to twirl around the food on the end of a rope for the bird, but by then we’d lost interest and walked on. (I don’t know if the bird did return!).The classic car display was ok, but nothing extraordinary. Great if you like Morris Minors, of which there were an abundance! I was expecting lots of craft stalls, stalls selling local produce; jams, meats etc etc, but there was nothing like this. There was, however, over priced burger and hot dog vans, sweet stalls, donuts and your run of the mill fun fair but the only pig I saw was being turned on a spit!I have visited far better for a more reasonable entrance fee. I might be a ‘townie’ but I was expecting tractors and prize bulls, lots of farm animals on display, more agricultural/farm type things. I think it’s ridiculously overpriced to get in and hot dogs at £6 each potentially make for an extremely expensive day out. Safe to say, I don’t think I will be visiting again any time soon, which is unfortunate as I was looking forward to a good day out.

Nice smallish showground, we've been twice now - once for a dog show and once for the agricultural show (with dog show attached). I wasn't a fan of the agricultural show as it was a bit of a bottleneck getting in/out walking and in the car, but it was laid out with lots of space. Lots of stalls and things happening, but a bit pricey if you're just looking around.
