Wonderful experience at Godshaws. We needed to purchase wedding bands and an engagement ring at very short notice - went to Godshaws on recommendation from family. Georgina was amazing, we didn't feel rushed and took our time choosing wedding bands. We also had a family stone reset as an engagement ring and they did a lovely job. Georgina kept us up to date on arrival of the rings and was incredibly helpful in helping us choose rings. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend!

Took in a couple of stones and standard settings I didn't have a particular plan for to see if they could be set together. They could not, but I greatly appreciate the time Godshaws took to look over what I brought and explain why what I wanted couldn't be done. The explanation was fascinating and delivered with kindness. It's a shame I was in a hurry, or I would have loved to stay and talk for longer! There is clearly a very impressive level of expertise there, I look forward to making use of their services in the future.

I bought an diamond engagement ring from Godshaw and the service was amazing. Being a young guy who had never bought a ring before, I got a 20 minute education on what to look for in a diamond ring - which I clearly needed and was most grateful for. I really felt comfortable and was under no pressure to buy anything. Will certain use again for the wedding bands!

Put price of watch battery up from £8 to £14 in the last year. Never mentioned price till I asked so went elsewhere. I know they can charge what they like but no explanation for that sort of increase. Manager just looked like he did not have a clue. Used to be a decent shop.

The team at Godshaws do an incredible job at looking after my white gold engagement ring and I would only ever use them and trust them enormously. My ring comes back every time looking as stunning as the day I received it and it honestly leaves me speechless every time! Thank you all ❤️

Visited Godshaw Jewellers today to have my battery changed on my watch. Was asked to return in 30 minutes. When I came back I paid £9 for the service and when I went to put my watch back on the strap was broken. When I left it with them it was perfectly fine. When I explained that my strap was broken the gentleman behind the counter said well that's wear and tear on the strap." I explained that when I'd left the watch with them that the strap was perfectly fine. To which the gentleman just repeated that it was wear and tear. I'm very disappointed as when I left it with them for a simple battery change I didn't expect to find upon my return that the strap would be broken. I could have bought a battery myself and changed it for a few pounds instead I decided to pay more money to have it done professionally. No offer for a replacement or at the very least a refund of the battery replacement. I've used them before and I'm often in the area. I definitely will not be using them again. Such a shame how it was handled as I always like to support local businesses. I work in the service industry myself and know how important customer service is. Definitely would never recommend them as a jewellers. Terrible customer service. Left feeling very disappointed."

When my mother unexpectedly passed away last month, I decided to have her engagement ring from my father resized so I could carry a piece of her everyday with me. I’m so so SO pleased I chose Godshaw jewelers to do this for me. I’ve just got my mother’s ring back today and I’m overwhelmed by how brilliant a job they have done. It’s the perfect size for me and it looks like a brand new ring! Mum would have be overwhelmed with how good it now looks. Good, independent jewelers. Took my watch there for a battery replacement and waterproofing reseal. Their price was less than a tenth of the quote from the (Swiss) manufacturer to do the same job!Helpful, friendly staff. Phone call to advise the job was done (early). Thank you!

Shout out to Godshaw's. My go to place for watch and jewellery repairs, adjustments and new watch batteries. A shame they don't sell Seiko and Citizen watches like in the old days. But they are very skilled at what they do. And they have all the German machinery to service almost any brand.
