Friendly staff, great range of fruit & veg and Mediterranean/ middle eastern spices and foods.The pickles and sauce section is amazing, big pots of Avjar Sauce :) The fruit and veg is always fresh and of good quality, fresh herbs such as curry leaves, dill etc always available. Buckets of greek yoghurt at bargain prices. And, open all hours.

Terrible customer service from one particular girl who never smiles and treats customers (me as far as I know) with disdain. After the last encounter, I promised never to spend my money at a place I am not welcomed. Receipts have no name name of items purchased and all say the same thing. How do I know prices of what I purchased for my personal accounting.

The best display of fresh fruit on London Road by a long way. The fruit looks colourful and tastes delicious. There's an excellent selection of tropical fruit, from Papaya to Passion Fruit, Sharon Fruit to Avocados. Not often in the UK that you can find cane sugar in it's natural state either, but you can here. Inside there's a storehouse of provisions including pickles, pastes and spices. If it's healthy, life afffirming foods you want, there's not much you can't get from 'Tropical 4 You'. Plus, along with 'Patisserie 4 You' next door, this is a family run store in which prices are the welcome are always friendly.

Watch the prices and makes sure you're charged correctly.Buying avocado for a while, then starts charging more then the usual price, stops marking how much they are.I stop going they realise a regular customer stops.The price is lowered and showing up.Father goes in asks for a kilo of fruit. The ticket states £5 a kilo. Gets to the till and the boy asks for £15.How on earth do you go from £5 to £15.Untrustworthy! Watch what you buy and make sure it's the right price.Or you definitely be losing quite a bit of money!

My first visit to this shop. Friendly gentleman serving me with half a kilo of roasting chestnuts at £9.99/kg, they appeared to be so perfect. Unfortunately 95% were found to be rotten inside. So I think I'll be going back to Sainsbury's. £2.00/400g

A fantastic little store specialising in Eastern Mediterranean foodstuffs.. Great olives, breads, cheeses, dried fruits and tinned/packaged goods, fresh fruit & veg. - and Turkish delight and dried figs to die for....One of my favourite Brighton shops...

Not sure covering best by dates with new stickers is legal? Just purchased some out of date food with a sticker adding an extra month to the shelf life... it gets better, the crisps I bought here too went out of date back in jan (it’s June now)
