Laurel House - Charcoal Grill
My go to place for a meal with friends on the weekends. Have been coming here for many many years (maybe since 2015?!).I've tried everything on the menu. Nothing lets you down!All the meats are great, be it in espetadas, or grilled chicken, or steaks or burgers. Also the chips are just the best.Long live laurel house

First time here and was impressed. Had a chicken wrap - good quality ingredients and well seasoned. The accompanying rosemary-seasoned hand-cut chips were really good. A nice interior, friendly staff and good, reasonably-priced food - would definitely return.

Food was unbelievably good. Not had food this good in ages. Would highly recommend. Steaks and Mixed Grill were 10 out of 10. This place is a truly hidden gem.

Went there on a Saturday. Only a group of lads at a table. Was asked if ee had a reservation. The manager suggested we book in advance in future as they were fully booked. Explained we were out of town so he was happy to sort out a table for our six travellers.Food was acceptable but considering my kids were still hungry after ordering two mixed platters seemed not much. Have had more for the money in other places.Asked for chips with on of the platters but i think they messed up so brought us chips on a separate plate but it was full of salt and seasoning. Was a bit to much.By the time we left the place was struggling to get customers. This might be classed as busy yo the shop but I fear there are nicer establishments out there this place was t the greatest and those booked in advance didnt come to fruition. Tables in the main were empty.Toilets... Just the one. So it gets busy...

Can't recommend highly enoughAmazing food, great value and serviceDelicious fresh grilled meat, unbelievably tender, chips were hand cut and fresh too - everything was delicious at a great price. Will definitely return if I'm in St Alban's again.

The best food that I have tasted, you can actually taste the amount of care that has been taken to prepare each dish, I think it's one of the best restaurants in St Alban, a quaint little place, simple looking but the food was exceptional, love it. The chicken was so delicious and moist, the steak was cooked to perfection, the chops were amazing and the cheesecake was fantastic.

Laurel House is essentially defined by good, honest, hearty cooking done by a hardworking chef and owner who appears to be creative and willing to go beyond the call of duty to please his customers.Whilst we were there, we witnessed the good rapport he had with them - some of whom he knew and others, like us, who were made to feel special and welcomed.He definitely knows how to make a mean burger too. I come pretty much every week if I can help it.Food is delicious my favourite place to eat. Never waiting long for the food, presented lovely aswell and tastes bloody amazing!If you haven’t tried the garlic sauce it’s a must!
