Really traditional art shop, people travel from all over the world to take videos of the place! The owners supply a huge range of art materials for gilding, painting, model-making and crafting and some supplies for hobby sculptors and stationery. Open 9-5, Monday to Friday, phone ahead for anything specific, drop in to simple gawp at the floor to ceiling displays of luscious art kit!

Wonderful amazing experience.They were punctual with their opening time, they had things I thought “did that even exist?!”, the staff were very helpful-welcoming-friendly AND when I asked them if they had a product they didn’t, their response was not a simple no but rather “we don’t but that sounds amazing”. I admire the fact that they are willing to know about those things they don’t rather than being closed to experience/new products. I don’t live in London but next time I come for a trip, this would be my shop to buy all art supplies. Thank you for the lovely experience!

First visit and found this to be a really well-presented shop with very good quality materials and tools, and excellent, amiable and knowledgeable staff.Everything is very well presented, so a lot easier to find things than in some shops of similar size.I visited because they stocked some gilding equipment that is surprisingly hard to find here. Felt like I was back in Paris.

Amazing family owned art store. Chris and Susie are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. As a traveling artist from the U. S. This is now my goto artstore when I travel here to London.Update: went back on my annual pilgrimage, and they always have unique and innovative art supplies that I can't find anywhere else.

This is a stationery heaven. It is chock full of everything any artist or stationery-enthusiast could want. They stock colour pencils, paints, wires for jewellery making, thread, glitter and even miniatures. I love that the shop has retained a vintage and classy feel and that they use ladders to reach items at the top!
