Easy access into the changing area with lots of choice of changing rooms for families as well as couples. Use your wristbands to lock your locker. There are plenty of showers. In the pool area there's lots to do as well as seating area.

The subtropical swimming has to be the highlight of centre parcs as so many memories were made.My little boy, who's scared of water, took his first steps to swimming by using a float and kicking his legs.My little girl showed me that she could do the breaststroke and put her head in the water like her dad.And our oldest daughter took to the rapids and spent hours going down them as she found it so much fun.My favourite part was the massive slide that you go down on a 4 man dingy, you have to walk up stairs to the top and wait your turn but it's well worth it for the adrenaline rush waiting as you get to the bottom. The seating areas and the changing room and the showers were so clean, and the staff were so friendly it was great. It does get busy, but it's worth every minute.

Remember coming here when I was a kid always remembered it being a lot of fun and 10+ years later it did not disappoint. The rapids are the highlight of the whole place, I did get kneed in the side at the end of the big drop since there isn’t really any control of the flow of people but at the same time that just makes the whole experience more fun and thrilling otherwise it would be pretty boring just waiting in lines. It’s always going to be busy here so people should just expect it unless you go at around 7-9pm when most families are at their lodges

Fantastic family holiday resort. You can swim all day and go on the water rides, rapids and pool. Wave machine is fun but doesnt always happen on time, depends on lifeguards. Beautiful forest and walk ways to explore on foot or bike.Peaceful lakes ...some lodges back onto lakes and you can watch the wildlife from the sofa. The animals are very brave as used to humans and often the geese will knock on the patio doors wanting a snack!Accommodation is clean and well designed. They are warm in colder weather. Can have a log fire which is lovely, can buy logs from shop. The activities are plentiful but some are pricey. Not much choice of craft activities for over 9 year olds...Need to book in advance to get time slots you want.Staff on site are friendly and courteous, and are happy to help. Restaurant staff are very nice and do everything they can to make it a good experience. Some building work is still going on at Sherwood...so some areas cordoned off still. The xmas area is looking lovely though. There is something for everyone here....you certainly get a good physical workout if you want it.Only one moan ....Busy on change over days and got a bit crazy due to overcrowding on water rapids. Some younger life guards could be benefit from controlling numbers a bit more and the youngsters who behave dangerously....so that it is a good experience for all. Need to accompany younger children.Overall great holiday and would definitely come back.

Brilliant swimming pool and best thing of all, it's free! You can spend all day here, they have cabanas to hire, but not worth it. Just grab some seats and set up an area for you and the family. The lifeguards are friendly and helpful, they even moved a baby cot from one side of the pool for us. The new ride is amazing too!

Fun experience. Always running at high capacity. Some lifeguards are vigilant; some less so and this can be problematic on the river rapids. That being said, some people are just stupid and think nothing of landing on other people. The food is decent and quick at canopy cafe, but pricey for what it is. As expected ££ and friendly service at Starbucks. Having to use a contactless card is a pain but fine if you have apple pay on your watch. Expect to wait for the Cyclone ride (min. height 1.20 m) seriously, don't shout at the lifeguard if he turns you and your infant back: Its not worth your kid dying over. The Cyclone a lot of fun! The flumes are disappointingly slow, don't bother queuing unless the queue is already on the steps. the cascade ride is fine for smaller kids: thrilling but not too scary. You will get bruised on the river rapids.. dont send grandma/ grandpa down until you've tried it yourself. There are half way exits and a nice halfway pool; we call it *Perv Point* Youll see why or check out Leisure Bowl first?! Warm whirlpools are on the left as you walk in - bit hidden. Outside is a cold plunge pool, expect kids to be in the way as you try to frantically exit. All in all: good fun, prepare to queue for thrills, expect bruises.

My day was going really well when arriving at the Subtropical Swimming Paradise at centre parks with my dad, mum and grandmother, until I decided to go the Tropical cyclone ride to the top of the stairs. I had to go alone though cos my father has health conditions and my mother and grandmother simply wanted to chill by the jacuzzis and water sliding wasn't their thing. So I waited in the queue for about 10mins alone, until my turn would come where I stood at the group/individual weight scale and was given both green lights. Only to be told by the staff member at the top that I wasn't allowed due to only meant to be in a group of two or more, I don't know wether it was for health or safety reasons or not but I once went on this ride before alone the last time I visited previously about 2 years back with my family but I just found this rather ridiculous for not being let on this time.Because of this, I had to a little walk of shame back down the stairs which put me in a mood and felt like my day had been spoiled because of it. I feel like the staff member and every other at the centre of the swimming paradise should know better despite health and safety concerns, they could have at least tried it and let me on to slide down on the inflatable slider. Another question is where are the water sliders for single/individual water sliders if they have weight indicators for people alone rather than in groups? They should probably consider this perhaps.Probably best to inform the manager about this as the manager as well. It’s also not exactly the point that people pay to have a good time whether or not people come in groups or on their own.
