Absolutely love this shop. I have had many fish, happy and healthy and lived years beyond expectation. Sadly we had a power cut, which went unnoticed while we were out. We lost all (6) of our very large Clown Loaches. But now with an extra filter and more oxygen circulation (advised by the owner) we should avoid this happening again. Our Orange parrot fish are now 5 years old and in excellent health. All thanks to the service and advice. 5* service.

Went today first time it was absolutely first class the fish were well looked after and the selection of fish you were spoilt for choice bought a fish some plants and some food will definitely go again and would recommend to everyone I wouldn't go anywhere else now I've seen this place it's amazing

Been to this shop a couple of times now and both times bought fish. They're my first fish so asked a lot of questions and the staff were really good with me and gave lots of advice. The shop isn't local to me but ended up going there after looking at their website (great website). Shop is clean, well laid out and well stocked. Some of the shops in my local area always seem to have dead fish in some of the tanks which doesn't fill you with confidence! All my fish from here have thrived. Would thoroughly recommend this place

I do not recommend to buy marine fishes from this shop. I purchased two fishes several months apart both not feeding and full with disease. Never had problems like this anywhere else and I’m in the hobby since 6 years. Whatever fish you buy from them shop make sure it’s eating do not just trust their word.

I went to tropical supplies completely new to keeping tropical fish and i was talked through every step even down to what fish to start with and i didn't feel judged or looked down upon for not knowing anything. Having visited a number of aquatic shops in the durham area on the same day this was the first place i felt welcome and not rushed or as if i was wasting time. I have since been back twice and got the same level of sound advice, i also had a bit of an issue with cloudy water and again instead of trying to sell me products or testing kits that i didn't need i just got advice on what to try first. I will always return to this store and its well worth the hour and a half round trip for the level of service in there. Would highly recommend anyone to visit.

Best selection of guppies, swordtails, platies and fresh water Angel fish I've ever seen? All tanks immaculate, fish all looked healthy and I didn't see a single dead fish!( always a good sign?) The lads who work there are very helpful and one seems to be permanently maintaining the tanks? With water changes and general maintenance! Prices didn't seem bad either?
