Curious Pig in the Parlour
Superb staff, friendly helpful and interested in holding a conversation! The room was very comfortable for the night, big towels clean and tidy. I had gluten free dinner and breakfast and didn’t miss out on anything. Highly recommend for an overnight affordable stay

Curious Pig in the Parlour
Addy was absolutely fantastic when serving us. We had a few diet requirements and quirky changes but she was very happy to accommodate us for these.The starter we ordered was the soup which came with bread. The bread itself was nice but another piece or two would have been nice. The soup was generally quite okay, lacked a tiny bit of flavour but was edible.Overall a very nice atmosphere with friendly staff. The lunchtime offer is extremely good value.

Warm greeting and seated promptly.Had to wait 15 minutes for the waitress to serve us while she chatted to the family on the neighbouring table, luckily other staff served us drinks.Had to go to the bar for additional drinks - just completely ignored.Food was nice - had the pork chop, great size and well cooked. Potatoes were just warm not hot.Wife had the chicken - had to leave the last bit as not quite cooked through - but very tasty.

The restaurant was warm and welcoming, as were the staff who greeted us.Our drinks order was taken fairly swiftly, but the drinks took an age to arrive at our table, which was inexplicable, as there were only 8 in our party, 4 of who ordered coke, 2 others a pint of beer, and the other 2 wine. We had to call our waiter over to our table, not once but twice, to remind him that, after more than 15 minutes we were still waiting for the drinks. When they did arrive, one glass of wine was missing, and after a further wait, we had to ask for that too. When it did finally arrive, there was no explanation or apology offered.Instead of starters, we ordered While you wait"

When we arrived to check in it was late and unfortunately the kitchen was closed. The staff allowed the four of us us to order from a nearby pizza shop and eat in the dining room while we had drinks at the bar. The next morning we had breakfast, which was delicious. Both the staff and accommodations were great! Highly recommend.

This place is a great find and only 11 minutes away from Gatwick airport. From the moment we walked through the door, the staff were so friendly checking us in, showing us to our room and making sure we had a nice secluded table in the pub.We stayed in the Parlour room with our own access door outside. The whole decor is lovely, having a rustic country pub feel to the place.But the food was the absolute showstopper for us. Everything made fresh and cooked to order. The flavours were devine. I had the pate with apricot and carrot chutney followed by the pan fried chicken on a bed of greens (the saffron alioli and the tomato tapenade really brought this dish to life). The hubby had chicken thighs for starters followed by the 12oz Argentinian ribeye cooked to perfection.All the staff are so attentive, but a special shout out to Gareth and Addy who really made our stay so very welcoming.We would recommend this place for the food and the overnight stay and will hopefully be back again soon

This is a lovely pub with nice food but shocking service! Group of 10 booked for a 40th birthday, we sat there for a good 30 minutes before we got asked was we ready to order, and that is how the night went on unfortunately, had no drink through out the meal as no one bothered to come and see if the food was good or anyone wanted a drink, dessert came with no spoons, again just let sat there as our ice cream melted, when the guy did bring us spoons he brought us soup spoons, the stuff need a serious lesson how to look after customers or just to open these eyes and bother to see what's happening around them. It's a shame as on first impression I said to my wife we will have to come back, but I would rather give my money to a business who appreciate a group of customers spending over £300.

Was shown to a quiet booth as had dogs which was lovely and told to order at bar, then another waitress came over and offered to take our order as she had time even though we should order at bar. food was amazing - i had goats cheese pizza, my brother had sausage and mash and both were empty plates afterwards. I had trouble downloading 30% off voucher and staff so helpful they added it anyway. Highly recommend and lovely place

Curious Pig in the Parlour
Went here for Sunday lunch with parents and in laws. Staff we very friendly and accommodating. Was a bit chilly where we were sat so they fired up the pizza oven near us to keep us warm. Food was delicious and nothing felt like it was too much bother. Thank you for a lovely Sunday lunch.
