First visit Monday with husband, daughter /son-in-law& 3yr old granddaughter. What an absolutely fantastic place. Beautiful, if not exceptional, grounds, so much to see..couldn’t cover it all in 4hrs! Chose the parts to entertain our little one- she loved the owl talk and all the birds, the chaps thrilled with the later falcon/hawk display and chat. Play park brilliant and what an honour to be allowed up close to the meerkats, chickens, goats and especially the wallabies- our grandchild was super thrilled to be able to feed them and gently stroke them-that are so gentle and friendly … must admit to being like an excited child myself!Cafe was super and the whole place is so perfectly thought out. Already booked for end November re-visit!

It poured with rain throughout our visit but we went prepared with wellies and waterproofs so no problem. The autumn colour was amazing. This is a magical place.

Lovely peaceful place, tranquil, restful and restorative. Lots of wildlife in evidence when we visited. A free map of the estate is provided, but buying a guidebook is recommended (if not essential) in order to properly identify the trees. The birds of prey demonstration was excellent, and the handler was friendly and approachable, although the display was understandably curtailed a little because of the extreme heat.

Absolute gem! All my family visited yesterday (Sunday 3 Dec) we had an amazing day. My granddaughters saw Santa, it had snowed, so the whole day was just magical. All the staff were polite, friendly and professional (especially Mrs Santa who went above and beyond entertaining the children whilst we waited to see Santa.)Time for a quick whizz to see the birds and back home.Thank you all at Thorpe Perrow ❤️The mushrooms were fab too!

A nice place to visit, we went looking for the autumnal colours, we were maybe a week late for the peak. Good birds of prey display too. The only downside was the wait time for hot food. After waiting in a queue of 4 people for 10 minutes we opted for pre prepared cold food instead.

Really beautiful grounds especially on a sunny day. Tons of trails and lots of interesting things to see. You can easily spend hours here and still not see everything. Great if you have children or even for couples/solo walkers. Brilliant day out.

Typically visit up to twice a year, specially good with young ones, primary school and younger. Safe to wander and explore, plus the birds of prey and the small adventure playground. There’s also some wallabies and meerkats to see. Have enjoyed visiting over the years … if your into landscapes and trees it’s a great source of practice material for drawing or photography. Close by other things to do too.

11/12/23 Cold but sunny Winters day for our visit, the layout and structures of the trees even without their leaves was stunning, saw plenty of woodland birds including the tiny goldcrest. Would have been nice to have a list of the trees to match up the tags or perhaps descriptive labels. The Bird of Prey centre was great very well cared for birds, the talented Falconer had a true knowledge of the birds with incredible facts for all ages, the birds were beautiful and the displays wonderful to watch.Super cafe to warm up and have a snack and hot drink.Thank you can't wait to come back through the seasons.

A great family day out with lots to do, such as hand feeding the wallabies, throwing mealworms at the meerkats, then of course the birds of prey. The falconry displays were top class, lots of information and the birds were amazing. Easy to get to lots of parking, on site tearooms very reasonable. Overall a great day out, looking forward to our return visit.
