We stayed here on our Offa's Dyke walk (Kington to Knighton stage). We were in the upstairs family suite with two rooms and a bathroom shared by the two rooms. It was great for our family of 4. Food at pub was excellent as well.

I had a gluten free burger. It was served with far too many little potatoes. Whereas I am grateful that you do gluten free, the burger should be served with a gf bap not slices of bread. Everyone was happy in the group, thanks very much.

We weren't sure what to expect when walking into the pub as it didn't look as we expected, and then at the bar we were told the restaurant was closed due to a flood and we had to sit in the bar. But the food was amazing!! It was great value for money, nicely presented and tasted really good. I can highly recommend going for a meal here. The Horlicks creme brulee was a real treat! And we would return for that alone.

I have only had the food here, but it was exquisite!Made me feel like I need to come back one day and try everything, it was so fresh and beautifully made! London food is put to shame, really and truly.Horlicks Brulé with a lemon shortbread biscuit. I've had a proper french Crème Brulé before, but I do have a sweet tooth. It was creamier and yummier by far.The cheesy chips even surprised me with their deliciousness.I wasn't a fan of the burger, but thankfully I'd chosen the steak and ale pie and it was phenomenal. Could not finish all of the chips and veg, wanted to, but I would have taken well over an extra hour and been stuffed. I'll be thinking about the pie and chips for years to come. Was a bit hot, but better than being cold! And the staff (one in particular, but I didn't get her name!) were so friendly! Made both visits seem like the perfect choice.

Had a lovely evening here.Food was delicious highly recommend the chicken and bacon enchiladas. My husband had a Steak pie & my son had a burger all was beautifully presented. It was a Tuesday evening and the restaurant was full so sat in the main bar in a lovely old inglenook fireplace that has been made into seating. The barman said we were welcome to use the snug as the fire was lit but we were very happy where we were. Will definitely return a lovely friendly pub.

Took my girlfriend here on our short tour is Wales. The shine in her eyes as she bit into the pork tenderloin, it made me so happy. When we wondered in the door we were greeted by an wonderful young girl, never had that sort of service, felt really friendly in a place we have never been before. The pizza was great! The choice of drinks was amazing, if you are in the area it is worth the drive, the aesthetic is perfect, what lovely little establishment! Again, the staff were extremely kind.18 Months later we find ourselves in Knighton again, sat at the same table, same wonderful service and beautiful food at a decent price.

We popped in for a pint with the kids around noon and were made extremely welcome. We booked a table for tea later on and were not disappointed! Great food, all made from scratch and reasonably priced. The comfort of pub grub" at higher end quality. You will love it here!"

We had a meal in the bar part and the food was amazing. I had the fish and chips, my husband had the steak and daughter had the cauliflower cheese. Very friendly place
