Great facilities and very helpful staff.

The old gym was much better than the new one. So many previous users have left the gym and gone elsewhere.Why on earth did those in charge of the refurbishment not consult the users.

Great facility that does so much more, than it says on the can, for the local community in Newbiggin.Helpful, cheerful and adaptable sports centre staff make visits enjoyable & deal with issues well.Any chance that the cafe could be available for those using the sports centre in the evening?Many thanks guys

Went in for breakfast, food served up abit slow,no sign of any set menu, had to shout for the staff.The place needs promoting, little sign of community spirits her or Hub as advertising on the outside wall.

First off, I w as shocked to find that the entire 3 hours that I was there, not one member entered the gym, so if something happened no one was there. They had children playing on the weights. If something happened, they would be liable. All the other gyms in the area under the same company have people that work in the gym as attendants. Really dangerous.Tiny gym, barely bigger than my living room and kitchen and they are small. Ancient gym equipment, looks like the old equipment from gyms from their refurbs. Blyth's was around 15 years ago and it's the same. Nearly no equipment there at all. You couldn't use the leg weights if another person was using the other one as they are placed to close together to be able to use they. There was no bar to free lift as the mini ones they had had only two light weights that looked older than my grandma.They also turned off half of cardio equipment and put an excuse that they are trying to save money on electric, so you don't get what you paid for.The whole place was dirty. The floors were dirty and the equipment was filthy. The cross trainer was sticky on the handle and had a build-up of grime all around the screen. The Smyth machine had so much dust grime and build up in the joints that the bar would barely move. They clearly have not been cleaning in there for a very long time.The leg press machine was broken with no sign, I don't believe they have been servicing their equipment, especially looking at the state of the Smyth machine.Really bad gym!Would NOT recommended!

Great experience so far. A very hard spin class (well, hard for me) but got through it. Two sessions in the gym and Bot Camp session booked for tomorrow evening.
