I have been for some Reiki sessions with Virginia, and found these immensely relaxing. She is very calm and put me at ease, and the space she practises in is absolutely beautiful. It’s a very lovely experience and I would highly recommend her.

Virginia was absolutely amazing throughout our pregnancy and birth and helped us achieve a very special water birth exactly in line with our birth plan. I would 100% recommend her to anyone considering a doula.Virginia visited us three times for one on one sessions during pregnancy, these meetings were very useful for informing us all about the process of labour and birth as we were both first time parents. She listened really thoughtfully to what we wanted and helped us make a birth plan in line with our preferences. I really appreciated that she respected all our choices and wanted to work collaboratively with the midwives in the birth centre. She also sent us messages of support throughout pregnancy and useful links to resources when I had questions. It was clear that she really cared about supporting us, remembering when we had appointments and checking in on how things were going. My pregnancy went overdue by a week and she was incredibly helpful as a sounding board when I was considering my options around induction as I wanted to avoid this if possible.On the day of the birth her support was absolutely amazing! Her and my husband were an amazing support team, making sure there was always someone there for me, and helping me advocate for support in the birth centre where I needed. The labour progressed quickly for a first time birth, and Gin came to our house as soon as she thought I was in established labour and then helped us decide when we should go to hospital. There were a couple of times in hospital where the midwives weren’t convinced I was progressing in labour, and questioned whether I was ready to go into the birth pool and then whether I was ready to start pushing. Both times Gin gently and respectfully helped me think through my options and advocate for myself. In both cases we were able to suggest and agree trying the next step that I wanted, and both times it helped progress things. I felt so much calmer and better able to focus on the birth as I always felt like I had a personal support there – whether it was a hand to hold, someone reminding me to drink, suggesting a different birthing position to try, and giving so much encouragement. Having someone there who has seen it all before and knew what we wanted was so reassuring, and it meant her and my husband could take breaks so I always had someone there for me.I feel so lucky that I can look back on the birth as a truly positive experience and am so grateful to Gin for her huge role in making that happen and helping us bring our son into the world safely.

I found Virginia’s yoga classes invaluable in the lead up to the birth of both my babies. Her knowledge and ability is exceptional in various facets of yoga (not just pre-natal), but knowing you’re in safe hands with a specially trained instructor as you prepare your body to be as strong as possible is very comforting. It is so important to train safely and doing so solo is a daunting prospect, especially with a first pregnancy. She also did a phenomenal job in preparing the mind for the big day, both with confidence-boosting knowledge of how to best work with your body, as well as reassuring affirmations. Can’t recommend her enough!

Virginia creates such a warm, inviting, and open atmosphere in her yoga classes, with a great combination of yoga, breathing, and birth preparation exercises. I always left feeling light and airy, whilst feeling more grounded and ready for anything. I'm looking forward to postnatal yoga with Virginia soon!

Gin is just the best - she taught me all through my pregnancy and recovery after and reinvigorated my love of yoga. She’s a calming presence but pushes you hard. Beautiful inside and out, I highly recommend her

I went to Virginia’s online pregnancy yoga sessions for a few months and they were absolutely brilliant. She really listened to each participant and adjusted each session to how we were feeling, making sure there were lots of options for each pose if needed. I also learnt a lot about labour positions and pelvic floor health while having some of the most relaxing meditations I can remember having! I would highly recommend these sessions to any mums to be.

I took prenatal classes with Virginia/Gin as I started my maternity leave 5 weeks prior to my due date. Her classes were so calming and grounding, and they made me feel like I’d done the kind of work-out my very pregnant body needed to feel like I worked hard but not pushed myself too much. Classes were tailored to those in the group and it was nice to (virtually) meet other mums to be in the online classes too. But most of all I want to share that I logged onto class the morning after my labour started, not only did Gin guide me through a slow, calming (and lets face it a well needed distraction) yoga practise she also guided me through my breathe work in my early phase of labour which was something I took with me through to full labour, which I will forever be grateful for. I had 4 surges in the class and my body and my mind was so at ease and comfortable. Gin is truly a conscientious and attentive human being with deep knowledge and support for the pregnant body and spirit. I wish she did post natal online yoga I could log in to as well :)

All of the yoga classes I've done with Virginia have been excellent, Virginia takes great care in asking what we've got going on and tailoring the class to our needs. Now, I'm pregnant and love Virginia's pregnancy yoga classes and try and join as often as possible.

Virginia was amazing as our Doula and was exactly what we needed.As a couple having our first baby we felt pretty left in the dark with many questions and reassurance needed.We needed some 1 to 1 time with someone who was experienced and to help us along the way. Not just all the questions we asked, having a birth plan, going through the what if’s, practicing breathing methods and having some great friendly conversation.We had a couple of meetings at our home in the months before and also just days before labour started.Virginia was ready for our awaking call at 2am on a Friday morning and came straight round to support us before heading off to hospital.Having Virginia with us was so reassuring, especially as initially the experience with the midwife we had upon arrival was not as Pleasant as expected.Fortunately a change of staff shift before we gave birth helped. Virginia was with us throughout the birth and when things got chaotic and medical stuff happening having Virginia to explain whats going on and if things are normal was just what we needed.The breathing training celine did with Virginia worked a treat and everything went smoothly then on.We highly recommend Virginia and couldn’t imagine the experience without.It made what could be a very stressful experience into a smooth and magical feeling.

Virginia’s classes gave huge support to my mental and physical health during pregnancy, She was accommodating not only providing general yoga benefits but also needs shared on the day by those attending that session, checking in with everyone to see how we were doing and any concerns we had in our bodies or heads in order to build this into the classes.With further experience of working as a doula Gin often shared suggestions, without ever passing any direction or pressure for mums to be to follow it, giving me access to breathing techniques and positions I could choose and used during my own LabourThese classes could work for general physical benefits for anyone just focusing on the physical side but has the option for a more mindful engagement for those who approach yoga in this way.I always felt more confident and relaxed following sessions, and loved the hour with her weekly. I hope to continue to see her as I return to ‘normal’ yoga in my next life stage as a new mum!
