Tea with Naughty Sheep

We absolutely loved our experience with the naughty sheep. It was more than just petting sheep and afternoon tea. It was an educational and centering experience getting to connect with other humans and some very friendly sheep. The best way to spend my wife’s birthday!

This review is for the Sheepy Sleepover Retreat which is a separate experience than the Tea ...Once you leave your day-to-day reality and arrive at Beccy's Sheepy Sleepover, you're taken to a relaxing nirvana in nature. Surrounded by mountains, woods, fields of sheep, vast endless skies, and of course, Beccy's sheep and chickens, you can breathe the fresh Scottish air and relax!On our first night, we were introduced to the sheep and got to learn so many fascinating facts about them. They each have distinctive personalities and we got some hands-on feeding and socialising with them. With a clear night, we got to star gaze and got a glimpse of Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights). We warmed up next to the wood burner whilst watching movies. In the morning, the chickens come running to feed straight out of your hands! We enjoyed delicious eggs (from said chickens) to fuel our beautiful hill walk up to the summit of Ben A'an. What a way to start the day! Prior to dinner, we had a barn visit with mindfulness, along with more hands-on with the sheep, then joined Beccy and her husband Dave for delicious homemade pizza straight out of the pizza oven! Beautiful sunrises and sunsets, lovely walks through the wood into the village shops and local pub.We had High Tea with Beccy's Naughty Sheep, where we learned more about each sheep's personality and how they function within their group (great takeaway for how us humans can learn to use our personality and those of others to work together!). Beccy also taught us some science-based relaxation techniques that we can use at any time when we need to de-stress!The accommodation was lovely and private. Extremely clean, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and hot shower, a nice lounge with wood burner, movies, games. You only need to bring clothing, everything else is taken care of for you. There are other options that you can incorporate into your retreat, but I've only reviewed the options we choose. You won't regret this perfectly incredible home-away-from-home retreat to relax and reset! Also, great company! xx

My husband and I had the best time with Beccy and her sheep! Who knew there would be so much you could learn from sheep?We also had the pleasure of doing yoga with her daughter and the sheep. It doesn’t get much more serene than this!

I came away from the sheepy sleepover retreat feeling totally and completely blissed out. I didn’t realise how much I was in need of an escape from the city and into nature. I felt totally cared for and looked after, the sessions brilliantly taught by Rivkah and the sheep were the friendliest meditation buddies ever! Such a unique experience that I don’t think I’d find anywhere else, I can’t wait to go again!

If you are looking for a peaceful, adventurous getaway retreat, this is it! Not only do you get to be out in the country amongst rolling fields and mountains, you get to enjoy the company of naughty sheep and hungry chickens! Beccy, the owner is a fabulous host, that doesn't leave anything out when it comes down to the finer details. The cottage you stay in is absolutely cozy, with a fireplace, comfy couch, and throws, stocked with games to play and suggestions for movies. She also stocks the fridge with her homemade goodies and provides an outdoor pizza making dining experience that compares to no other! The activities you can choose from are amazing as well, such as hiking and summiting one of the surrounding mountains, boat rides on lakes, yoga with the sheep, and of course high tea with the naughty sheep! You spend your first day getting to know the sheep very intimately, as Beccy if very knowledgeable about them, and by the time you have high tea they are ready for your attention and love!. She only offers this experience several times a year, so get on it and book it! You will not be disappointed and will have memories to talk about for the rest of your life!

I got this experience as part of my boyfriends Christmas present last year, and it was totally worth it!! Visited Becky and her four beautiful sheep about two months ago. She was an outstanding host, very welcoming and helpful with any enquiries you had as well as very educational about sheep. With my boyfriend and I being vegan and vegetarian, we find it challenging to get places that provide vegan cakes and treats. With that being said, Becky was able to provide afternoon tea to fit our vegan needs with homemade mushroom pate, scones, blackcurrant muffins, tuffin to name a few, which were all exceptional and extremely tasty!! The scenery from the table is also stunning as you look on nearby hills. Spending time with the sheep was amazing by petting them, interacting by feeding and just being in their presence while having your tea is incredibly special. I can't recommend this experience enough, and 100% will be visiting again, Thank you!

I stayed in their campervan having done a zoom meditation session with the sheep in lockdown 2021. Highly recommend the accommodation. Host looked after me well. Next time I'll have to stop for tea!
