Lovely place with lovely staff, however the food is shocking, it was cheap and nasty, tasted like they got most of their ingredients from Iceland. I had a chicken burger, the bun was not fresh, chicken burger tasted horrible, waffle fries just tasted of grease. Coleslaw tasted like it was 20p savers coleslaw. The food is reasonably priced for frozen rubbish. Everything needed seasoning especially the mac and cheese which just tasted like plain cheese.I heard good things about this place and the menu looks pretty good online but I'm just disappointed and hungry

food was poor, came out and the nachos were stale and not very nice, there was hardly any sauce on them and most of the sauce were small dollops. No check backs in the time we had received our starter either and when receiving the food, there was no question as to if we needed anything else or if the food was okay. Normally service is amazing and the food(especially nachos) is great however this time was not very good.

Came here for family meal for my husband’s 50th birthday service behind the bar very slow only one girl serving as other staff were lounging around on the seats in the corner !!ordered our food and ordered extra chips the lady asked if I wanted 2 portions of chips I said no just 1 when they brought our food out they never brought the extra portion of chips so I said there should be chips the girl came back over to the table and said no chips have been ordered I tried to explain I definitely ordered them as the lady taking the order had asked if I wanted 2 portions and I had said no just 1 portion but the girl kept saying no chips had been ordered when I know what I ordered so I had to get up in the middle of my meal to go and order a portion of chipsI didn’t appreciate how the girl spoke to me I found her very rude my husband commented how quiet the pub was for a Sunday afternoon but I’m not surprised with the customer service being like thatI have always loved having meals here but won’t be coming back in a hurry!!!

Great pub and great food. They have quite a menu at reasonable prices. I ordered a burger...its Thursday so you're supposed to get a free one, I didn't, but 1 is enough.You can download the greene pub app and order from your table too which makes life so much easierIt's not laid out like a typical eatery. It's still a pub with the pub pool table and workers knocking off shift having a pint and stuff. Don't let that put you off though, there are two separate sides. We just came in and out of the what would be the 'bar' side I guess.

We called in for a snack and a drink.The service was very good and the staff friendlyThe prices were very reasonable too.We only wanted desserts and were happy with the chocolate fudge cake with chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream.We didn't see much for anyone dairy free .We thought there might have been sandwiches but couldn't see any on the menu.If you love fried food then there is a big choice.My latte was good and everyone loved their pot of tea .

Visited here with my partner for lunch on a Saturday. Inside was busy but we managed to get a parking space and was seated fairly quickly. We ordered via the app and food arrived within 20mins (drinks came sooner).We both ordered cheeseburger meals as we weren’t overly hungry. The portion sizes were laughable, even kids meals come with more fries! While my burger was ok, my partners was underdone and considering it’s a frozen patty, it tasted vile and raw. The onion rings were nice but after the portion sizes and the underdone burger, my partner was ready to go.It’s a shame as their quite friendly in there and there’s so much potential. I’d try them again but maybe order the sizzler hot plate as they seemed to be the most popular orders constantly leaving the kitchen.

Car mill is a lovely pub, I take my daughter frequently, I get the mixed grill which is lovely!!! But please Mr chef when I ask for my steak well done please don't serve it moooing!!! Otherwise all good... From George

My husband and I visited last night, we both had the 8oz rump. It was cooked to perfection, the whole meal was realy good, friendly staff, prompt service.

Great service from bar staff and waitress serving the food. Meal was piping hot and was very tasty. Will certainly go there again.
