We were eagerly waiting to try a meal at Athugala Ceylon restaurant, and the wait was worth it. A welcoming atmosphere and friendly hospitality made a real difference. The food was absolutely delicious and well presented. Thanks for the quality service.

Just ordered a takeaway from here having some samples a while ago when passing. Have never had Sri Lankan food before and were very impressed. Reasonable delivery time and prices. Starters of Dahl vade and mutton rolls were a bit spicy for 9 year old but he loved the sweet aubergine curry. The black pork curry was spicy but very flavoursome. Highlight was the lumprice where there were lots of different flavours to try. Highly recommend and will be coming back.

Tried this little Sri Lankan restaurant out and so pleased we did. Such tasty delicious food. Authentic and beautifully spiced. Delicate and such a variety of flavours. Highly recommend. Will definitely order takeaways from here great food, a change from usual Indian and Chinese and very reasonably priced.

Family run business with a big heart and very welcoming. The dining area Is very well lit which is very good point as we don't feel uncomfortable or claustrophobic. The walls are nicely decorated with Ceylon arts and places to visit.The food is delicious and very budget friendly also the best part is they haven't compromised the portion size. These guys have authentic Ceylonese food at a superb price. Owner comes to each and every table to get a review of the customer experience and satisfaction and I believe he will analyze and the get the extract of those comments to improve small gaps which they might have.Me and my wife went there two times and I tried chicken fried rice on the first day where my wife tried the lump rice on the second day I tried the sea food kottu and as usual my wife tried the lump rice. I would highly recommend the lump rice and the fried rice because it tastes well and I would recommend 5/5. The seafood kottu on the other hand was tasty but soggy and I prefer a kottu to be a bit on the dry side where the customer gets the curry to add to the plat as he or she desires. That's my opinion, yours may be different. They have sprinkled a bit too much black pepper powder on it which makes it a bit spicier.As a whole, I would highly recommend this place to dine in and me and my wife will go back again to dine in.
