Broughton Bay, Blue Pool

Beautiful beach. Lots to explore. Just be careful when the tide goes out to stay away from the parts of the sand that bubbles as you can sink in them pretty deep and fast!!

Tricky to find but worth persevering. Beautiful Blue Pool.

Beautiful beach. It's a short walk from the parking place. Parking £5, bring cash. Its cash only.Bring food as only facilities to buy anything is at parking lot.You can swim or paddle board or kayak. Or just walk and when low tide explore.

The expectation was better than reality. But I think that we just got there at the wrong time of the year, you need to go here when it is warmer, when you can swim, and you are not afraid that you will get wet at high tide. We arrived here somewhere at lunchtime, reached this lake, but when we had to go back, after 10 minutes, the tide began and we couldn’t get out, we tried to take off our shoes, but the water was already knee-deep, and we didn’t want to get wet. And in the end we had to climb a steep slope up, it was scary.

Amazing place well worth the walk over. The pool is amazing, we definitely would have had a swim if the tide wasn’t racing us. But we just Sat and watched the tide come in and consume the pool which was just as lovely.

Such a beautiful and peaceful beach away from the crowds of the other beaches. The blue pool is lots of fun too with people jumping in

Beautiful beach, not easily accessible but worth the effort. Blue pool is a rock pool that stays around 10ft deep when the tide goes out

Gorgeous, really gorgeous. Completely natural rock pool for swimming, it's really deep and you can dive in right from the top. It's only small but great little spot to spend an afternoon. I guess it could get busy as it really is a great attraction if your into this sort of thing, but we went an hour before the tide was coming in and had it to ourselves. Hard to find if you've never been there...at least we struggled anyway! Walked the long way round and had to climb down a steep hillside. What you should do to get there is pull into the carpark and then walk through the caravan park, right to the back until you get onto the beach and follow the sand to the left till you find it. Should be 15 mins walk from the carpark.
