St James Medical Centre

Have been on the phone for 2 hours waiting for my turn. When I got to position 1 , phone cut off and I rang again. I have been waiting on position 1 for 25 minutes and still no answer. What sort of service is this, the time I wasted by patiently waiting for 2 hrs 25 minutes to be listening to that repeat song was awful.

Terrible service doctor didn't have any clue what it was he talking about he was picking his nose when he was talking never returning back to this place ever again you should too also made a complaint as wellThis place should be shut down for good and get rid of all the doctors

Had an appointment by NHS referral here, and took time off work and had to drive 30 mins each way, only to arrive and be told that my appointment isn't on the system.Was told to wait for the doctor regardless. Waited for 30 mins after my appointment time in the waiting room, only for the doctor to come out and tell me that I will be contacted to rearrange in a week or two as I'm not on the system.Complete waste of time, and I am punished through no fault of my own. Really need to sort themselves out.Also, as this is winter and flu/covid period, note that there is no mask enforcement in this medical centre. Not for patients nor staff.

Agree with everyone else, never answer the phones, receptionists are sometimes rude and not welcoming. Once I went and they were having an argument over why they couldn't register my baby because they were more busy than the other receptionist. Drs don't let you know when they get your hospital reports and when you call to find out if they received it, they say yes but don't actually explain what the problem is. And one male Dr always makes me feel like I'm lying no matter what I'm talking to him about. Thinking of changing to different surgery. Had enough really

Avoid at all costs. It's disgusting that tax payer money goes to this 'medical centre'. It takes forever to get an appointment and when you finally do you may be greeted by a robotically unempathetic receptionist who will either send you away or have you waiting up to an hour after your appointment time. The dermatologist doctor my nephew had was disgracefull, doing whatever he could to distribute pills and chemicals for a skin condition but to make matters worse, we was left waiting with a nurse filling out pointless forms to then only see the docotor for 30 seconds since they are so 'overworked'. I can't speak for the rest but if you're here for dermatology don't bother, what dermatologist dosen't even question how often one washes their face, what they use, and reccomend any non antibiotic basic skin care products for general use - this one.

I come here for respiratory appointments, which are great!.. But as soon as i walk in im out of breath due to dust on seatings and damp smell in waiting area.

The overall look and cleanliness needs improvement. Not once I found soap in the toilets, which is very unhygienic. If simple necessities like hand soap can’t be provided it doesn’t deserve to be called a health centre.

Called yesterday about my prescription, after going back and forth they said they will get it sorted and call me back the the next day (promised).Next day comes, waited, no call back, called their line, waited 2 hours on the phone said ‘you’re next in the queue’ and it cut off because being on the line for so longIn desperate need of my medication as my throat swells up without it and I told them that “I will make sure to call you back don’t worry”Absolute joke of a ‘health centre’, don’t care about their patients, understaffed, under trained, terrible systems and terrible service.

The appearance of this place is a joke, so run down and dirty, actually looks derelict. The ‘reception’ is a ridiculously small porch-like area that can fit one person comfortably and its only when you confirm your appointment you are asked to go through the other door and sit down in the waiting area. Never seen anything like it, getting the door slammed into you as new patients come in and squeezing past patients leaving. There is no hand soap in the toilet either which is absolutely vile like I cannot believe this place is real. Waiting times are long too so beware

Quick service when you are there but don’t expect anything after that. 3 days so far chasing a prescription that should have been sent to our doctors but hasn’t. No direct number to them and apparently no record at our GP that we even attended the appointment. Never again.
