Broadlands Supported Living

My 92 year old mum has lived in Broadlands for the past five years and loved every minute of living there.Sadly she has developed Dementia over the last year or so and has had to move to a specialist care home as a result.During this period & the lockdowns the team at Broadlands provided fantastic support for mum often going over and above the call of duty to help mum.Mum was always quick to say how much she enjoyed the lovely freshly cooked food that was provide daily for her.Would I recommend Broadlands and the team for an elderly relative?Yes absolutely in a heartbeat!My heartfelt thanks to all the team for looking after mum so well!Adrian Clark.

Broadlands is a supported Living setting for the over 65's. Since being employed here, the Support Team and the board of Trustee's have been an amazing support.Broadlands offers a home from home feel, allowing each client to live independently with that little ''extra'' support and reassurance. The staff are experienced and extremely competent to deal with situations that may arise. I look forward to my time here at Broadlands.

My father had a week of respite care at Broadlands while my wife and I had a week away on holiday. He enjoyed his stay and thoroughly enjoyed being looked after, the food and the company. Thank you from him and thank you from myself. Knowing he was safe and being well cared for 24/7 meant we could enjoy our break without worry or concern.I'm sure he/we will use Broadlands again.

The staff at Broadlands were kind, helpful and frequently went above and beyond to help my father and us settle to a new situation at a stressful time. Thank you for your care of my father during his respite with you, what a great team you are!

Since starting my role at broadlands I feel I have been fully supported in my role. The manager is always helpful, supportive and easy to talk to. This was the first home I've worked in run by trustee and needless to say I was surprised (in a good way) with the amount they put back into the home to make it more welcoming to the residents.

Having worked in the community care sector for 20yrs I didn't want to be out on the road working all hours, and being pressured to pick more care work all the time. At times working 17hrs a day.I was asked by the manager to come and work at Broadlands supported living, so thought I would give it a try! I can honestly say I wasn't disappointed, I have worked there for 2yrs now and really enjoy it, the residents are lovely and we have some fun and laughter, as well as the staff who all work hard to support the residents in their daily living. It has been difficult since the pandemic due to doing are best to keep everyone safe, which I would like to say is down to the manager being on the ball and alert we did not have one case of the virus in the home. A lovely place to be.

Had to find somewhere at very short for my sister who has some learning difficulties & Broadlands was suggested as an option by her social worker. After arranging a visit with Laura the manager another sister & myself went to have a look around Broadlands at the available rooms & facilities. We were left with a very good impression of everything, all the rooms we were shown had light & airy feel with very nice bathrooms. There are two resident lounges one being a quiet lounge" ie no TV

Just over a year ago, my (soon to be) 98yr old Mother was living in appalling conditions in a rented property. She had no heating or hot water and and the property was in bad need of repair. It was located in a small village where sometimes she went days without seeing anyone and she was extremely lonely, bored and depressed.I was unfamiliar with residential homes in the Minehead area and Broadlands was the first we looked at.Well, we didn’t need to look any further. Notonly does my Mother have heating and hot water but also tasty nutritious meals and hot drinks provided, daily entertainment and activities, company when she chooses but also the privacy of her own en suite room, occasional organised outings and indoor events.But probably for me, the most important factor is that every single member of staff I have met has been the kindest, patient person. It is evident that they are all dedicated to their jobs.Not only has finding Broadbands given my Mother a new lease of life but it has also given immense peace of mind to her family, knowing that it is now a happy one.

Recently experienced diligent, caring and compassionate respite care for elderly father. Can only say we wish he could have remained at Broadlands. He was supported emotionally and physically by the amazing staff and brilliant micro providers. Cannot fault the package of care provided at all times. Dad frequently commented the food was excellent, and that everyone was friendly and kind. Manager and all staff were welcoming approachable, providing a positive, fun atmosphere with plenty of activities. Thank you to you all, after visiting many supported living providers and residential provisions, Broadlands was by far the best. Fondest regards
