Enterprise Car & Van Hire - Alton

The staff at this branch were very helpful at arranging a car on behalf of the company responsible for supplying a replacement car whilst mine was in for a warranty repair.

Pre-Booked an SUV via my Enterprise Membership with no issues. Arrived 20 mins early for my collection to complete any necessary paperwork. After waiting 10mins that they didn’t have a car and I would have to wait until 11am. Apparently out of hours used my car..... Advised this wasn’t acceptable, they couldn’t even come up with a suitable alternative. 1 Clio with a flat and a Jag which had come via a flatbed.... I’m good thanks....Upon telling the team to cancel my reservation they then tried offer a discount on my next rental.... It’s ok thanks, I will find another rental company. Simply not good enough!!

This company is fraudulent. Hired a car May 2022 and I just had a call from my insurance today 20 July 2023. Enterprise is now claiming I damaged their vehicle. This was not the case when they collected the car over a year ago! Stay away from this company. Disgusting!

BEWARE! Dreadful service. On arrival I requested to reduce the excess to 250 pounds.I then made payment as requested. I wasn't given a receipt so had to ask for one to check what funds had been taken.Trainee manager said he was unable to send document to the printer so I couldn't have one.I insisted I have a receipt as proof. Manager then suggested he write a paper receipt for me. I confirmed that it had the reduced excess written on it.A pre-existing tiny windscreen chip was deemed to have occurred during my rental. A row ensued.The Alton branch kept my deposit. The Damage Recovery Unit had it fixed which cost over 400 pounds! And expected me to pay the full 400. The trainee manager had neglected to include my reduced excess on the computer record. Thankfully I had insisted on the paper copy and sent a photo copy attached to an email.Their shambolic approach and total lack of professionalism could have cost me an extra 400 pounds.Dreadful service, will never use again!

Useless. When they want the car back they’re all over it, but when I needed to call to report an issue, no one answers. I reported it and they told me they’d replace the car because I had a big journey I needed to do, no one called, no one picked up. And now have broken down on said long journey and still no answer on their phones…

After making my booking I was asked for more information which resulted in me being told I need a credit card for them to accept my deposit. I don't have a credit card to which I was told to apply for one just for this". I don't want a credit card and don't see any good reason why this is required. No mention of this process on the website or at any time during the online booking. Since when is money I have less valuable than money I don't??? And why is this policy not clearly stated at the time of booking!!! Cancelled the booking immediately. Avoid if you don't have a credit card.*Update*After emailing customer service as directed to below this review. Absolutely nothing has changed .... not sure why I was asked to contact them when they've done nothing. Waste more of my time I guess. Thanks Enterprise!"
