Purchased a sofa from DFS and within 2 weeks the mechanism collapsed in 1 chair. We waited 6 months+ for the parts to come then another month for them to be fitted. While the engineer was at our property he scratched our floor when tipping the sofa as he didn't use a padded sheet when tipping the sofa. DFS are refusing to fix the flooring and are denying that it was them even though the scratch is in the perfect position for the engineer to have done it. The mechanism is clunking in both sofas again and the manager has said this is completely normal and we are sitting on them wrong". This is our families first and last sofa from DFS and if anybody asks I will tell them never to use DFS if I could give less that 1 star I would."

I wish I had read all this reviews when I purchased my sofa, I definitely wouldn't put my feet on there. Bunch of liars and unhelpful people, didn't let me change the sofa or cancelled, because of the measurements. Went there just few days after my purchase, saying that was already on production. Definitely didn't beleived them, impossible to be already in production, as the sofa will take weeks to be ready, even recently received an email with the change for later date delivery, just because they will lose a few quid, as I am sure definitely it could be changed. Just bad will from their side. Now I am worried if will or not fit through the door. To make the matter worse find out after when I went to change the order that will be charged %20 off the purchased which will be around £300 if doesn't fit through the door and have to.be sent back, which haven't been mentioned during the purchased, the seller didn't mentioned that they do not have 14 days guarantee, cooling off period but did put on the notes that he did it and other member of staff was present totally lie. They just care about the sale to received their commission and zero customer service. This is my first and will be my last purchase with them, and definitely will make aware everyone around me about it, not to get in same situation. Regret so much about this purchase and that I even put my feet on DFS Birmingham. Never ever again.BE AWARE!!!

Haven’t bought anything there but I love how they would just leave me alone with my family to look at the sofas. I can’t stand pushy salespeople who follow you around. The showroom is clean with loads of sofa options. If you would like to speak to a staff member for help they are always around.

Regarding my recent experience with DFS, I have felt that DFS are only helpful and friendly when you are in the show room looking at sofas to buy. Soon as I made a purchase, I did not feel like a valued customer at all.Firstly, the sales rep I brought the item from in store said would take no longer than 6-8 weeks to have my new sofa delivered. this was not the case.. first delivery date stated the 18th of September.. then the 19th of September.. then changed to the 25th of September. I have missed 3 days of unpaid work because of this. On the date of delivery, I was following the item on the tracking service provided online. Delivery stated between 9:25am and 12:25pm.By 1pm my sofa was still not here. I called the number provided to be told the delivery men were running late and I was the next drop.1 hour and 25 mins later, my sofa arrived. There was no parking outside my house as I live on a busy street, the older delivery guy was huffing and puffing. The older delivery guy said to me “ oh we might just have to leave the sofa and go” assuming they was not going to assemble my sofa, which I was not pleased about considering DFS charge £100 for delivery to include assembly and removal of packaging. The younger delivery guy assembled the sofas who was polite. There is also a mark on one of my sofas. I wouldn’t recommend DFS to family or friends due to the poor customer service, lack of communication and delivery dates. I will certainly not be giving my custom again in the further to DFS. I would much rather prefer to give my hard earned cash to a more reliable and customer friendly company.

Had a great experience with Ash at this store, he wasn't pushy and allowed us to browse, answered all questions we had and allowed for a quick, stress-free sale. Would recommend.

DFS please tell your staff to stop bothering customers by following them everywhere just because they want to push us to buy furnitures so they get the commissionWe left the store without buying anything because of your annoying staffYour customers want to walk around the store and look for sofas without any disturbing from your staff and if we need help we would call them.Your staff job is only to welcoming customers, answer their enquires and serve them on tills

Bought 2 identical sofas one sofa was not of good quality reported that the same day it delivered engineer came and said that that faults I mentioned are there and said they will try to fix it. Second engineer came said no problem with it and sales manager will call me waited days no one called, had to visit dfs they sent another engineer who said no fault with sofa. I am highly disappointed with dfs. Never ever will buy anything from them.

9 months later and still no replacement received for the damaged foot of the sofa. NADINE has ignored me now for months! Terrible customer service.Also DO NOT BUY THE UNDERNEATH SLIDES. They are horrible and do not stick to the feet of sofa. You would be better off purchasing off Amazon and saving yourself a lot of money for better quality.To place your order they speak to you for about ten minutes- don’t even offer the correct options.After you have placed your order they will not contact you again, you will get a little text with your delivery date on that is all.Nobody has even contacted me for payment ( other than the deposit paid).Once sofas have arrived- extras which have been charged are not even added.No glides which has now caused scratches all over my new floor when the delivery men moved the sofa across the floor.Also the after care kit is missing- nobody bothered to tell me until I have rang up- now on my EIGHTH call!!!! They have said it’s out of stock and they will now place an order for it. So I have had to ring to let you know something was missing, nobody bothered to tell me ???Very bad customer service, whenever you call the line you are put on hold for a long time ‘while they try contact the store’ and then the call drops!!!The store have tried to contact me ONCE after 8 days & left me a voicemail ‘ we have tried to contact you many times’ no they have not … this is their first missed call and when trying to call them back today I am now speaking with the THIRD customer service agent today & guess what I’m on hold for 6 minutes right now.There is also a massive dent in the foot of the sofa.Not happy with the customer service offered and the process to even try get something fixed- all they are bothered about is taking your order and your money clearly.I should have read the reviews first as you can see the customer service is horrific and on top of that the sofas are all coming damaged - the only good reviews are people who didn’t purchase anything!When you’re ordering please make sure you check their website first FOR ALL OPTIONS as they will not offer this or make you aware in store.
