This surgery is an absolute joke and absolutely disgusting towards young women. I've had multiple bad experiences with their 'doctors' throwing antidepressants or laxatives at me and even one Dr Patterson asking me 'what I expected him to do for me' when I came for an appointment for extreme pelvic pain which was leaving me nearly immobile and in pain constantly. The care and understanding is non existent and the receptionsists are just as disgusting. I put in a referral for an appointment after experiencing extreme cramping and bleeding outside of my period which was concerning to say the least. I've been waiting nearly 2 years to see a gynecologist specialist and I was worried due to the bleeding which was obviously not normal. Instead I was called back by a receptionsit and told that the female doctor (one I had seen previously) had said she had seen me before and there was nothing she could do. Then the receptionist, who bare in mind does not know me and could see my record, decided to turn around and tell me that making an appointment with a GP wouldn't get me seen any quicker by the specialist and accused me of lying. Truly the worst experience I have ever had with someone who is supposed to be in a position to support and help people in vulnerable pain. I'm a young woman who just wants to live a normal life but has suspected endometriosis. Not once have I asked for strong painkillers or anything like that and I certainly am not entitled enough to believe I should skip the queue for referrals to the specialist. But what I did expect is compassion and actual help. I expected the also female doctor to arrange an ultrasound to ensure there was no cyst rupturing or anything else like that and ensure my healh first and for most. I will never return to this practice and I highly recommend any woman not to waste their time here. These people do not care about you or your health. I have been left agony for nearly 2 years, suffered multiple mental breakdowns, and still I've tried to keep having faith in the system .I have now transferred my care elsewhere due to their negligence.

I just want to say thank you so much to the receptionist who spoke to me today. I don't know her name. I am suffering with depression & anxiety & the receptionist was so kind & very helpful.

Prescription hadn't been sent to pharmacy department so had to wait to have another triage (2hrs later) and return again to pick up medication.

Sadly the current position is dire. Presume there's a lack of GPs. Called mid Dec, new system is non priority, its wait up to 3 days for a call back. Then it's around a month for an appointment. I was advised to call back if concerned. Called back 8am the week before Christmas, after lengthy wait advised no appointments at all, go to the Walk in Centre. Unsure if the position is the same at other GP surgeries currently. The deterioration in service is extrememy concerning, NHS is crumbling regrettably. Hope Highfield can increase it's resources and provide the service it used to.A week later I called again & the receptionist I spoke with listened carefully & compassionately. I secured a same day appointment & GP referred me as priority to Clifton hospital resulting in a next day appointment there.Very thankful to those concerned. Excellent service & care, this time round. Thank you very much.

The receptionists that work here are absolutely vile. Experienced nothing but negligence at this practice and no one seems to care (excluding 2 nurse practitioners and the pharmacy- they were wonderful) Expect rude and condesending behaviour and just general incompetence. Even members of staff have complained about the receptionists but clearly nothing gets done. Must be trying to scare people away to releive pressure. Appauling service, glad to be wiping my hands. Everything you 'cant do' my other surgery has done for me promptly with no issues and even without an attitude of a pubesent teenager. Avoid to prevent an awful experience.
