Mr Toma Cornelius is an amazing violin teacher. I appreciate the collaboration, dedication and patience while he is teaching with my daughter who is flourishing in the skill of playing the violin day by day and she was able to gain distinctions and merits for the grades she has done so far. All honours and credits should belong to Mr Corneliu cos I am a musical-illiterate mum.I highly recommend his teaching ability to those who are interested to learn the Violin.

For years I drove by this music school and each time I promised myself I would drop in and sign up for guitar lessons. Earlier this year I actually did and I have not regretted it since. My tutor, Billy, is brilliant; he's patient, supportive and makes learning fun. The rest of the team (Joe and Steve) are just as helpful and willing to advise you according to your needs. I definitely recommend Southend Music School for all your musical needs. You will not be disappointed.

Corneliu Toma is a very interesting and patient teacher. My daughter has been a teacher for a year. He is good at understanding what children need. His teaching method is very interesting and bold. He will let the children study for a period of time and then try to take the exam. I like his teaching very much. We will continue to let him teach my daughter to play the piano in the future.

Southend Music School is an excellent place to train both children and adults in music. My child has achieved so much since he started attending tutorials at the school. His Tutor, Cornelius is an excellent teacher, who is also very professional.

My son has piano lessons with Billy at South End Music school and has been attending for just over a year. He really loves his lessons and looks forward to them every week. Billy is fantastic with him and they have a great rapport, and we are really pleased with his progress on the piano. I would highly recommend the music school and Billy!

My tutor was fantastic, building up my knowledge and understanding of music, and my general self-confidence to perform. Unfortunately, for personal reasons he left the school in April 2015 which coincided with my being made redundant from work. I therefore had several months without a tutor and feared I would never find anyone as good. However, when I was able to return to South End Music School earlier this year, I was delighted to be allocated Marina Guy, who is a gifted piano tutor as well as a lovely person. She has brought me back to and extended the standard I had achieved previously. My daughter has since joined so that we share a one hour lesson between us, each learning from the other. Marina has encouraged us to explore various styles of music and shows great enthusiasm for our efforts. The guys in the shop have also always been extremely helpful. I cannot recommend both the school and Marina enough; the facilities and instruments provide a perfect learning environment, and I hope to continue for some time to come.

Recently retired, I wanted something challenging and rewarding to do. Having never had the opportunity to take up a musical instrument, I decided to take Classical Guitar lessons with the South End Music School. My tutor is Steve Dunning, an accomplished musician and someone who loves his music and who directs and encourages me in my pursuit. Steve is now a good friend and excellent tutor and I am really enjoying my new found abilities which improve daily.I would recommend the South End Music School to anyone.Geoff Hopley

My daughter Patricia has piano lessons there. We used to have private tutors for 5 years before we started with this school and I am really pleased that the quality of teaching is on high level. Her tutor Billy keeps her motivated, and she is always happy after lesson. He is very systematic and I can easily hear the progress she makes every week. And most important think : she simply enjoys the piano lesson with him. I will definitely continue to use their service and soon my younger daughter will join them.
