Last year when I knew my mortgage deal was coming to an end and I could start looking (6 months to go). I contacted Michael Stratton (found on Facebook) to see if I can do something before interest rates sky rocketed.He came to me so no travelling for me which was great. Gave me all my options with no pressure at all.I decided to go with Just Mortgages and he found me the best deal he could giving what was going on with interest rates. Then kept an eye on the interest rates for me and found me a better deal a couple months later (same mortgage provider) before completion date. Saving me over 3k over a 5 year deal.I got updates often from the office so I knew they hadn’t forgotten about me.It was easy process, no stress my side at all. I met Mike Stratton when my wife and I, both in our early 70s, asked for his assistance to negotiate a mortgage for us that would allow us to continue to live in our apartment. We had an agreed interest-only mortgage negotiated in 2007 but suffered severe financial loss during the banking crisis of 2008, which had reduced our savings, ergo our ability to repay the mortgage. What impressed us was Mike’s exhaustive research on options for mortgage, his analysis of those options vis-à-vis our resources and comfortability and his guided recommendation, which we followed. We have now entered a potentially 20-year mortgage contract that we can afford and feel both relieved and comfortable with the outcome. Discussing our personal and financial situation, exposing our perceived financial frailty and commitment to continued borrowing is a huge undertaking, especially at our age.
