After being unhappy with a few other so called experts I was pleased to find a courteous, helpful and knowledgeable vw van expert who has endeavoured to get my van running as it should. Has been available for assistance when called upon and has been transparent in all dealings. Thanks Mike.

I've had weber ICT carbs on my 78 vw westalia camper for a few yrs now and they have never really been right. I've known they were over fuelling (poor running, bad mpg, coked up plugs) but i didn't know what i needed to do to resolve that. I found Mike via google although i'd read about some of his exploits previously in hayburner (shipping his bus to usa for a road trip etc).Mike came to my house and worked all day on the carbs. Mike's a great guy, very knowledgeable, helpful and honest - spent a day fettling in my garage; he removed and stripped both carbs, cleaned, adjusted and rebuilt with the new parts (he recommended the right size for all of the jets, none of them were suitable for my bus, hence the poor running). Mike also cleaned everything up and refitted, balanced and setup the linkage and installed my new low pressure fuel pump. The bus runs way better now. V pleased with the results.I've just got back from a 500 mile trip around Snowdonia which is the most challenging trip I've done in my vw - the bus ran great and although it'll never be a rocket ship it's running better than it ever has before, much more driveable, better mpg and reliable.Thanks Mike!

Can’t rate Mike highly enough. Just done a carb conversion on my T25, attention to detail and knowledge of air cooled, second to none. Top man, top job

Used Mike to remove and refit the engine from my van along with various other jobs at the end of a long restoration. Really knows his stuff, very thorough and went above and beyond. Couldn't be happier with the outcome and thoroughly recommend to anyone.

Mike is an absolute HERO! Delighted to have found such a knowledgeable guy so locally! I have used Mike a few times now with my VW T2 pickup. He was beyond brilliant when I first contacted him in desperate need of help with my battery, he kept me informed with the progress of parts being delivered, came out to change my battery very efficiently was extremely helpful and friendly! Today he completed my service and once again was incredibly professional! Mike is always very happy to answer any of my many questions which is wonderfully comforting. I bought way out westie's ultimate type 4 kit, from ordering to support, during and after the whole service has been amazing, instructions that come with it cover all aspects of installation and tuning and the kit can be completed by a novice easily within a weekend.

Mike is exceptional. Super knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. He really knows his stuff. We’ve had our van for 8 years and he’s by far the best person we’ve used.We took our 1973 T2 campervan to him for replacement carbs. He also did an engine service. The new carbs have made a huge difference, and the engine service has meant the van is running a dream, better than ever in fact. He also sorted out a whole bunch of other stuff and we could not be happier with then end result having just got back from a week away in the van!We brought the van up from Brighton to Mike and would not hesitate in taking back for its annual service again.
