Bluewave Kayaks

I bought my Bluewave Glider less than a year ago and I have some interesting adventures with it. After I bought it and just to try it out I took it to the Marine Lake in Southport and it was great. Very easy to setup and and put away, and just so easy to use. After that though I took it out on a quiet part of the River Dee. It jut got better.I bought the Bluewave Glider with travelling in mind and took it out to Benin in West Africa. So far I have explored Lake Ahémé and hope to take it out on the River Mono before too long. I am very much looking forward to my next adventure.

I ordered the Northern Lights kayak, brilliant colours. solid but light weight.It was delivered to our caravan site on the date arranged, and I was kept informed by the company, who I found to be friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend the company.I even found a pair of Crocs to match!

Double inflatable cruiser kayak. A great boat at a very reasonable price. I have used dozens of hard shell and inflatable kayaks and canoes over the past 35 years or so, so can give a fair comparison. We bought this because my wife can no longer paddle a boat entirely by her self due to medical reasons.The bow and stern design (hard plastic) help the boat move through the water very well for an inflatable, and it s tracks well. The drop stitch floor makes this boat very rigid, so almost no bending through waves, and with its two tubes it is a very stable boat, so unless it's taken out in very rough conditions, it will be difficult to capsize, and of course being inflatable, with two side tubes, it would be dry inside once flipped back up the right way.The hard plastic bow and stern do mean its a little bulky and awkward to fold up in comparison with a similar boat that has only inflatable bow and stern, but its worth it because of the superior performance. It takes just a few minutes to inflate, and is easy and light to carry with just one parson. The supplied pump is huge (and so efficient), but if you want to carry it with you on the water, it takes up most of the space behind to rear seat. I bought a very compact dual action pump on-line that gives us more space for storage.Although this boat can be paddles solo by fitting one seat only, for me at about 12 stone in weight, I am just too light, and the plastic bow cap does not sit low enough in the water to allow for good tracking, no matter how I trim the weight in the boat (me & kit), this is simply because there is so much buoyancy.Overall however, this is a great boat, well made and well worth the money.

I LOVE my kayak - she is called Joy because she is a joy! (Discovery)Bluewave are a specialist company, British made product, great price, fabulous customer service and O so very pretty a craft. A new experience for me all round - so far 3 friends have now also bought Discoveries because one shot in Joy and they were all immediately smitten. Given we are all fast approaching 60 this sport is for EVERYONE. Why are you hesitating? Just order one, I promise you will be so glad you did.

Ordered a double kayak last year but it wasn’t in stock at the time. However, we were given an expected date and in reality the kayak arrived earlier. The customer service was superb, the delivery was excellent and the kayak itself has been wonderful. We are very happy and if we were to require another kayak we would definitely buy from Bluewave Kayaks again.

Brilliant service, the kayak I had ordered was out of stock at the time of ordering, but I was kept in the loop the whole time of its arrival to them and then the despatch to me. It arrived and was carefully wrapped. Really impressed with the Kayak as a whole and would certainly use them again for further purchases. We bought an inflatable Candian canoe from Bluewave after some extensive research. We decided we wanted this style rather than a kayak because we generally find it more comfortable. The Bluewave inflatable canoe did not disappoint. We also wanted something that would be suitable for loading up with camping supplies and being able to reach places we can't on foot. We haven't tested this yet but in terms of space and stability we're feeling confident.When we received our canoe there were some initial issues but the team at Bluewave were able to sort it out really quickly and their responsiveness and helpfulness were truly excellent.
