Absolutely disgusted with the service. I paid £192 for referencing, but the property was still being advertised. No one there could communicate with me. I was told something different every time I called, which contradicted what the referencing agency said. This agency probably just takes your money and then doesn't bother with the reference, just fobs people off. I'm still waiting for a call back. Incompetent doesn't quite cover it. Tenants avoid.

Friendly and professional service from the start really couldn’t have asked for more. Honest agents not after what they can get out of you but focus on customer care/experience as priority unlike many others experienced. M&B truly are one of a kind.

Despite the property being left in much better condition than it was originally presented (including full clean and professional carpet clean costing £160) M&B still insisted on charging for additional cleaning. Petty, unreasonable and disappointing after a trouble free tenancy.

My personal experience as a tenant was negative enough to post this review as a warning. Despite the high initial fees, they made an inaccurate inventory that raised enough red flags that we also took loads of supporting pictures with our inventory corrections - good thing too as when it came time to leave they tried charging for all sorts of things that hadn’t ever been touched. I had to apply for mediation from the TDS to get our deposit rightfully returned to us, which took months.*Edited to TDS instead of DPS (my mistake).*Following the owner’s response: yes, this was late 2019 but after reviewing the evidence submitted by M&B to the dispute, I can confirm that photos were used from an earlier date than our actual tenancy condition, in addition to other elements that I believe were untrue. TDS confirmed by phone that they do not reprimand or sue for this kind of thing, as their only responsibility is making their judgement within the confines of the dispute at hand. With regards to if this review addresses the correct office, I am certain.*Review trimmed down to be less accusatory.

M&B Lettings manage the letting of a tiny portfolio of properties for us. We have been with them for over five years. They are professional, enthusiastic and friendly and they understand the business - not only from the point of view of the landlord, but, the tenant too.

I write this review as a previous employee of M&B Residential Lettings.After one year at the company, I have learnt many things; one of which being how dedicated, talented and incredible the staff are. It was an absolute privilege to work as a part of this team.Each and every one of them truly has an in-depth knowledge of the property industry and has an up to date understanding regarding all the relevant government legislation.I have witnessed nothing but outstanding customer service and extreme perseverance – I would not hesitate in any way, shape or form to rent a property with M&B, nor would I hesitate to rent out a property through them.They are trustworthy, efficient, fair and overall, just lovely people to deal with on a regular basis. As an employee I have had a wonderful experience and have built a good working relationship with all of my colleagues.Both administrators and negotiators are supportive, diligent and helpful - they go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction.The company provides countless services in: lettings, sales, commercials and block management – this is due to the fact that the entire team are hard-workers, enthusiastic and are always willing to go that extra mile.I am very grateful to have been given the opportunity to do my business apprenticeship with them. I had high expectations when I began my journey with M&B and I can honestly say, my expectations were not only met but they were exceeded.Lots of love to you all.

Absolutely disgusting service.Would rather rather rent off the cartel than M&B as you’d probably get a more fair and valid response from them.Avoid.

Writing this from a current tenants perspective, we can both say that the service has been professional and friendly. As first time customers, the process has been made easy and seamless for us and we would both recommend M&B Lettings.

I had a great experience as a tenant with M&B.They arranged several viewings for me at very short notice when I was urgently looking for a new place.Signing the contract and getting the references etc was made very simple, and was not as pricey as I have experienced in the past. The office is very laid back too.During our tenancy they were very helpful. We did not come across many issues but whenever we did M&B were very proficient in getting them sorted. Always very easy to get hold of them to help.At the end of the tenancy the agency was very good about working their viewings around us whilst we were moving out, and the deposit return was fair.To note:They ask that the carpets and oven be professionally cleaned and invoices provided at the end of the tenancy (not sure if this is for all properties or just ours) - but they do make this VERY clear when looking at the contract. They can provide a list of recommended contractors (but you can find your own too). In our case we were able to arrange a contractor to visit after we had left with the agency, which was really useful for our situation.
