Homemade Cafe (at The Pavilion)
The cafe is light, airy and relaxed, with a range of table settings and comfy chairs. As you enter, you can’t help but be drawn to the incredible cake counter, full of freshly baked goods. The menu has a wide range of brunch specialities, including smoked salmon and scrambled egg on sourdough, breakfast sandwiches, croissants and pancake stacks. On our visit, I opted for a Full English Breakfast (available as Meaty, Veggie and Vegan), accompanied by a lovely Chai Latte which made for the perfect start to my Sunday morning.Great tasting food, hearty portions and a chilled atmosphere - there’s no need to rush here. We grabbed some cakes to takeaway which super fresh and super tasty. If you get the chance, I’d highly recommend the Strawberries & Cream Cake - it was truly scrumptious!A fabulous brunch spot - I know I’ll be back again soon.

We have previously popped into Homemade for drinks only, however we visited for brunch on Sunday. Food & milkshakes a little overpriced, especially the cooked breakfast. We appreciate that the cost of goods have increased, but the cooked breakfast was not great value for money. We also asked for a poached egg instead of a fried egg on the croque monsieur, but was told that this was not possible. Did not appreciate being shouted at by the owner, on our first visit for brunch/food, just because she wanted to change the toilet roll in the toilet. Also saw the owner having words with another group of customers because they'd moved a couple of tables together. Owner could have been friendlier & more appreciative of her customers.

I take my family here as its very convenient for parking, the trams and also a little pick me up, before heading on the tram into the city centre. The staff have always given us a warm welcome and also the food is always great quality food options. They are also great as a caterer if booking the pavilion for an event, they always make sure any dietary requirements are an issue to be the norm

We had our wake here for my father in law and all I can say is that’s it is an amazing place, with great food and ambiance, everyone commented on the amazing food and service. Thank you all who helped us make a sad day, wonderful. All correspondence and interactions were efficient and productive, working with us all the time to get what we wanted to celebrate our final goodbye. The staff are amazing and the food and place is nothing more than astounding. Everyone that attended today will definitely be coming back for the food and ambiance. What a lovely place to be right in the middle on Nottingham, what more could you ask for. Thank you Homemade. x

I popped in today just to get some drinks for the kids and myself, 5 small cartons of juice and 3 cans of pop and it was £15!!! I was really shocked to say what area it was in... another of families come to the forest and to say the price they charge is quite a lot, it would be good if they had cheaper drinks for those that are just visiting the park( but I guess asda is across the road...The cakes looked amazing and for 5 slices it was 12.95(cheaper than drinks) but staff was lovely and friendly and it was very clean...

My go-to place for brunch and breakfast on the outskirts of Nottingham City Centre. Lovely location at The Forest park so plenty of parking or easy access to the tram. Perfect to have a bite to eat in a nice location, then nip into town.I've only eaten breakfast or light bites here but I've never been disappointed and now you can order online so there's no queues as in previous years. The cafe has recently expanded inside and outdoors, the outdoor area is covered and has heaters so you can stay outside even in colder weather.Very extensive menu with options for all dietary requirements and lots of delicious cakes and light bites to take away if you're in a hurry. Their picnic box looks fab too!

I have previously liked this place. However, I visited today with my daughter, who has a fatal allergy to peanuts. I do not expect anything anywhere we go to be entirely allergen free, so I often pack my 4 year old a lunch just in case she can't eat anything where we go. My friends and I ordered hot drinks and cake, I noted that peanuts were very present in the cafe, so I did not order my daughter anything. We sat outside, I got my daughter's food out. We were approached by a member of staff who in a very unkind tone told us we were not allowed to have our own food (despite being paying customers) even upon explaining my daughters allergies and that we had paid for our own food, we were still told it did not matter, it was still not allowed. I'm embarrassed to say this made me cry, as it seems we were expected to just let my little girl go hungry rather than let her eat her jam sandwich outside of the premises. The manager explained that it was licensing" but multiple friends in the service industry have told me there is no way that licensing would care that a child needed to eat their own allergen free food on the premises if they were with paying customers. Will not be returning."

Really wanted to like this place but I'm afraid my choice of food has put me off...although I might try again for cake & coffee. It took forever for the food to come out...my ciabatta was rock hard and so was the bacon & sausage which were both tiny. The egg was about the only thing that seemed cooked from scratch. I would have sent it back but we were on a tight schedule. My friend ordered the eggy bread with fruit, which looked nice & she did enjoy it but at almost £10 it seemed very pricy. The furnishings are very nice, well spaced out and it is spotlessly clean.
