Had another excellent meal here last night. Good atmosphere with a juke box quietly playing 60s era music. There is a good choice of pub favourites to choose from. My favourite is the Thai curry and my husband likes the liver and bacon but we have had the sausages, fish and chips and scampi. For red meat eaters there are burgers etc. Excellent ale too. We held the wake for my late brother here in March and the pub put on a really good spread for his carers and relatives. Sunday lunches are excellent too if you want turkey or beef and freshly cooked vegetables which is rare nowadays.

A lovely welcoming public house with a large selection of drinks. Blackshore stout being my favourite tipple at the moment.

Decent food. Enjoyed the roast dinner. Food was good quality and hot. Nice staff. Only minor negatives being lack of draught beers and conservatory eating area was very hot even with doors open. However, food and service outweighed any minor issues

What an amazing place! From the food, to the staff, to the pub!Karen was attentive, kind and just all round warm lovely lady. Lin who created the most magnificent food had our table drooling. From main course to dessert. Their homemade pies were the star of the show and worth the wait! (I unfortunately chose wrong when I saw the pies arrive) even so, what I had chosen was delicious. I will be back for pies, more syrup sponge and of course Sunday roast! Such a wonderful cozy pub with kind caring staff. I WILL BE RETURNING!!!!!! Thank you Karen and Lin for a wonderful experience.

Recently moved to the area, a warm friendly welcome from Verity, with her great sense of humour, gave us starters of peanuts and crisps presented in a nice dish lol ! instantly made us feel at ease. Can't fault the brilliant pub food. Cumberland sausages and a freshly baked chicken & brocoli pie - absolutely worth the wait for the pie to be baked. Can't wait to try the beef & Stilton pie and curry, recommended by a customer. Apparently sunday lunches are a must.Highly recommended
