Dobbies Soft Play

This place has really gone down hill.You go before 14:30 and require a booking online yet you can’t book on the day even if quiet. Some days you go and the place is empty but because you’ve not booked online you can’t go into the soft play. After 14:30 it’s walk in only and yesterday you couldn’t move. The place was rammed full. Ridiculous wait times for drinks. Ordered food for my toddler at 15:10, ten minutes later was issued a refund as the kitchen closes at 3pm? This isn’t clear across all menus. Management need to take action. The place is running on very young staff with probably little to no experience fresh out of school.

Looks excellent for young kids, my great grandson just over a year but his 2nd birthday by the look of things he'll be doing climbing, sliding and just playing! Meal deals included in the play area for kids so you can have a coffee and snack while they play.

I have been regularly going to the soft play with my granddaughter which she absolutely loves.Today there was no heating. We asked a member of staff if the heating could be put on but still hadn't been when we left. The children and parents had to keep their coats on as it was so cold .Hopefully you can look into this as people were complaining then leaving early.Thank you

You need to change your booking system for the soft play, I had friends who went a few weeks ago I wanted to join them but on the system it said fully booked I met them at the end of the session and the place was empty only 3 tables being used so I could of been there.i don't know why you just don't change it to a first come first served basis.

Just dont understand why you have to book two days in advance. Brought my two grandchildren,there were just two other children in the area and people were been turned away. Great place for yough children had a lovely breakfast while they played

Nice small soft play. We paid £8.50 for 90 min with a flat white and a hot chocolate for the wee one. The soft play itself is a nice size, perfect for our 4-year old. You also have a space with building blocks for younger kids. I did remove a star for the service. The young waitress was not the friendliest, not easy to understand not very welcoming. Overall, our boy had a great time. You can find food on site, and I did take photos of the menu ;)

Oversubscribed and overhyped. Food and drink good, but overpriced. Recently introduced a booking system, likely to try and solve their demand issues; the booking system will only show you the next day (i.e tomorrow) onwards, so you have no idea if it’s full - but handily the website says they only pre-book 70% of their space.You’d be forgiven for thinking that walking in bang on the time it opens would mean you could be one of the remaining 30% - nope. Apparently, fully booked - and aside from completely denying what was on the webpage in my hand the staff member dealing with me was defensive to the point of hostility. I expect better from Dobbies and its staff, and while the customer service manager at the Garden Centre at least listened to my complaint with empathy and way less hostility, we’ll not be trekking out to Dobbies for soft play again. I don’t care if your café job is hard, Shona, I read your published information on access and turned up with expectations that your employer set.

Same as other reviews here. They don't take walk-ins anymore even though it says they'll take walk-ins on their website if availability. Place was empty and they rejected us. Staff very unhelpful. Losing more customers Dobbies.The last time we were in they were so understaffed we ordered food as soon as we got in and by the time the food came when we were eating it they told us our session time was over.There are much cheaper and better soft plays and food around with less hassle and a guaranteed fun time for your child.This place is a hit or miss, and usually a miss due to their inflexibility in their 'company policies' to care for families with children.
