Pets at Home Lincoln

On a busy Saturday just about 4 weeks before Christmas and there is one young bloke on the till. The queue got very long as he spent 10 minutes chatting up a pretty blonde girl, (her mate gave up listening to his chat and went outside into the cold to wait). It was embarrassing listening and watching his antics from the ever-lengthening queue trying to elicit pertinent information from her (ostensibly to sign her up for the VIP card), but he eventually managed to find out where she lived and her phone number before his balloon burst when she told him she had a partner she lived with. The queue was halfway down the store before he decided to ring for assistance and a female employee arrived at a fast shuffle to the second till. She informed the queue that this till was notoriously slow in operating. (Not as slow as her male counterpart). He was now stretched across the counter with the young girls phone in his hand, scrolling through her photos. Not quite sure if his attentions were well received by her, as she had her back to us, but I would give him 5* for effort and zero* for achievement. His offer to me, when I finally reached his till, to hit him with my basket was tempting, but I sadly declined. Thankfully I usually get my pet supplies from Rovers Return off Nettleham road but as the traffic was bad and I was shopping in other stores nearby, I thought I'd take a chance this once. Lesson learned.

Great experience at the grooming salon yesterday. (19th June). Lady working alone, super efficient. Only went for doggy nail clip, but was friendly, helpful and very competent. Thank you.

Bought case of pets at home dog food in jelly, first time trying my 1yr old on, the cans are half meat and half jelly no goodness at all, looked into taken remaining tins back to exchange but because I don’t have receipt shop not interested now stuck with 20 cans of rubbish dog food that isn’t fit for purpose, will never shop at pets at home again. There loss cos I usually spend quite a lot in there. I gave one star minimum I could give.

Shelf’s half empty. All products triple upped staff seemed deflated. DC is switching and. I delivery delivers. Apparently that’s our problem due to product demand. …. Laura assistant manager told me to go elsewhere in some slackly chosen words. Prices increased over 17% in past year.Shop local and independent is my opinion after constant begging for delivery dates and times.

Visiting groomers .. they are amazing. Thank you very much for your work.. 100% we will back.But store I Visiting every week.. always can find what you need

I know you never should, but I made the mistake of buying a pet from here and it didn't last long due to illness. Please buy your pets from trusted breeders.

Nice shop but there were not enough staff on and the queue was long.

Groom room , used for years .. they do an amazing job on our Japanese akita every time without fail . Won't ever use another groomer
