Used Hadfields back in November for my grans funeral, I organised flowers via a florist in Lundwood who agreed to deliver them to the funeral home they were dropped off no problem the day of the funeral, but Hadfields misplaced them, they were eventually found and turned up at the crematorium just before the service. How can you mis place 3ft wide flowers ? Would not use again

It was one of the hardest times in my life. I’ve never buried a loved one before and the process was daunting from start to finish. Both me and my sister, Abby, were in for an emotional rollercoaster.Hadfields came by recommendation, they helped cremate my Aunty around 15 years ago, and a few weeks ago they did the same for my dad.I was mainly in contact with 2 members of the funeral team, Beverly & Mark Hawksworth . It’s gotta’ be stated- they’re 2 of the most down to earth & caring people I have ever talked to in my life. That’s not an understatement. They would often call up to see how things were, keeping me and my family in the loop at all times. They made the process easier and more loving than I could have ever imagined.My grandparents are old, they can’t get out and about, therefore Mark & Allan Senior (The Funeral Celebrant) came to their house, sat down with family and discussed everything we needed to know and do. It’s that kind of service to your craft that puts people at ease and gives you a good feeling about the overall process. My gran wants Mark to plan her funeral, Haha, that was a funny moment at the family meeting. Mark is professional, down to earth and very caring.Allan also had to sieve through 6 people giving him information all at once! Telling stories and writing down the life of my beloved dad. He did a fantastic job with the final script, and everyone loved the stories he re-told and the energy he put into the telling of his life. “Bastard”. Allan, like Mark, was down to earth- an excellent communicator and very caring with topics that are close to people's hearts.The team was there 10 mins before the service, punctual , respecful, dutiful. They gave us tips on how to carry the coffin, they gave us notes on the service. They were there and present at all times. It was a feeling of care, you could rely on them. Trust them.The service was lovely. The flowers (wild flowers) were beautiful. The team let us carry in the coffin, the Intro/Eulogy and Committal by Allan was lovely. The music was spot on.Huge note! My grandad sadly had some heart complications before the funeral, Mark and the team went out of their way to set up a camera, to record the event and publish it on an online portal so he can watch it in his own time. Again, kind and thoughtful.Beverly phoned me up a few days after the funeral to check if the family was alright & if I was in good spirits. What a kind, lovely lady. It’s strange- not many people in everyday life would go the extra mile to just check up on you. We had a soulful talk and I don't think I will ever forget her voice. Hahaha. She often called me lad, which was lovely. I've missed the friendliness of Yorkshire folk.Hadfields have managed to master their craft: that is I think, the looking after of others when rocks fall from the heavens and hit your heart strings. I think they could be angels. No, they must be angels.Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.The Midgley clan.

A&M Hadfield took care of my husband's funeral recently and from the first moment I made the call to ask them to collect him from the home I could not have been treated better. I have needed the services of several different funeral directors over the years but A&M Hadfields surpass all others. My daughter and I visited the office to arrange the funeral and upsetting though it was their staff supported us throughout.We arranged for my husband to be in the chapel of rest for 3 days and we were always made welcome even when I wanted to come more than once or twice. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and on the day of the funeral their great care continued. Mark who was officiating the funeral was caught up in traffic even though he had set off really early to avoid this and he contacted the office so they would call me and set my mind at rest and he broke the sound barrier on the rest of the journey to get to us. The first thing he did when he arrived was to give me a hug and apologise even though there was nothing to apologise for. He gave us time to get ourselves together before setting off for the crematorium. On route my nephew was ill in the second car so we stopped until he felt better, then set off again. During and after the service we were taken care of ensuring the donation box was collected and placed in the boot of the car the we supported by Mark and the other drivers to take us all to the venue for the funeral tea and Mark made sure we were all alright and had everything we needed, he even took the time to give my 6 year old granddaughter some money and telling her how brave she was. I collected my husbands ashes when they were ready and asked about the bill worried that I needed to pay it earlier. I was told not to worry there was no rush and would be sent the invoice, which I was at the weekend.Although we would prefer never to need the services of a funeral directors in reality it is a part of life and I know when I need these services again there will only be one number I will be phoning and that will be H&M Hadfield, I cannot thank them enough.

At 21 and 23 years Old arranging a funeral for our beautiful mum was the last thing we thought we would have to do, we would have been lost without the help of Julie at Hadfield’s. She helped us make all the most important decisions and genuinely cared for us throughout the day and the whole process. She gave us advice on every aspect and helped us make the best decisions to honour mum’s memory. The day was beautiful and everyone from Hadfield’s were so professional and respectful. They did an amazing job and everyone commented on how well the service went! Thankyou so much to Julie and the whole team at Hadfield’s! We can’t recommend you enough, you made a difficult day a lot less stressful and took care of everything.
