HOP/SCOTCH Whisky Bar Liverpool | Hopscotch Whisky Bar is located in Liverpool's Fabric District, part of the wider Knowledge Quarter. We're fully independent, and are the only bar in the city that focusses primarily on independently bottled spirits. We don't just stock whisky, at any one time we have around 15 craft beers, 8 historic cocktails, hard to find Rum, Armagnac, Mezcal, and other exciting liquids.

Hop/Scotch Whisky Bar
Liverpool's Whisky mecca.Matt and Beck are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. With their fantastic range, they will be able to find something to interest you and guide any novice. Also, the patrons are similar and whenever I've visited, I didnt meet with any whisky snobbery.If anyone in your party isn't too keen on whisky, they have a great selection of beers, along with a range of cocktails I'm yet to try.

THE best Whisky bar in Liverpool. Unpretentious with amazing variety and the staff are all extremely knowlegable, friendly and welcoming. Some cracking beers on offer aswell. Well worth a visit if you are in Liverpool.

An amazing place. Fantastic environment, with staff who know their craft and are incredibly welcoming. The selection of drinks is unmatched with something for everyone. A great place for whisky enthusiasts or anyone who fancies a very well made cocktail.

Genuinely one of the best bars in Liverpool. If you want by far the best whisky selection, lambic beers (plenty of Cantillon), local craft beers on tap and by can, incredible cocktails, cheese and meat boards then honestly look no further.

The best whisky bar in Liverpool and the North West in my opinion and better value than the Britons protection in Manchester. Matt and Beck are such welcoming and knowledgeable hosts who put their heart and soul into the entire place. I never have the same whisky twice as there is so much on offer from so many independent bottlers. Also, plenty of lambic beers and local craft beer on draught as well as independently bottled rums. Look out for bottle share nights and tastings from independent bottlers which are well worth the visit - as long as you don't have to be up for work the following day!!

Best whisky bar around! Dare I say the best old fashioned I have ever had?! YES I DARE! If you also like a lambic, you’re in for a treat with their selection. Fantastic bar snacks too! Basically - Highly recommend whether you’re a whisky fan or not. Just a class bar.

One of my favourite bars in Liverpool and undoubtedly the best whisky bar I’ve ever been in, ran by a lovely couple.After all the hard work they have put in, they are fortunate enough to be offered rare bottles from distilleries and independent bottlers, some of which could easily fetch a small fortune if sold to collectors, but they open these up to the public rather than allowing them to be kept hidden and only available to a select few.The vast whisky collection is the beating heart of the bar but there is also a fantastic range of other high quality spirits: cognac, armagnac, rum etc. along with a solid cocktail list and a fridge stocked full of various types of beer, cider and wine. Matt has recently managed to import Lambic beers (another great example of the diversity in offer), something I had never tried before but it makes for a perfect sharer if you want something a little different, a long drink and/or a break from the spirits.It is worth keeping an eye out on their social media to see what events they have coming up. I have been to multiple tasting events and each one has been brilliant, sometimes pairing the whisky with something else such as cheese or even wine! If you are unable to make a tasting then there is always the option of a private tasting in the bar or an even more intimate tasting by being able to take a few drams home. Matt’s knowledge of whisky is second to none so he can talk in great length about any of the ones on offer.Hopscotch is a place where I will never have the “usual” as there is so much available, and I doubt I’ll ever complete it. All-in-all it is a great bar, ran by great people with a great selection on offer.

Hop/Scotch is an incredible bar! The best whisky bar in Liverpool and beyond without doubt. There is an incredible selection of whiskies, with some rather special Belgian beers and craft beers too! Matt and Beck who run the place are such fab hosts and so knowledgeable about what they do. A real experience, and always a pleasure to visit. Highly recommended.

The best whisky bar in Liverpool for any serious enthusiast not wanting to spend an arm and a leg. They also do a mean cocktail or two and stock some great beers. Seriously, what’s not to like?! ;)

Went for the whiskey tasting experience and had really in depth tasting introduction to very different flavours. It's a hidden gem of Liverpool that worth a visit regardless of being a whiskey lover or not. Thanks for all the info! We have had a great time.
