Cathedral Church of St John the Evangelist

Two things struck me the most when I first arrived here . One the hard working cleaners polishing the floor and keeping this space nice for visitors like me .Two the talented and hard working men preserving the windows .Is life realy as depressing as I get depressed ?These workers probably hate what they are doing and feel unappreciated . I appreciate you . You make our environment more pleasant . You help preserve our culture . You make me feel lucky to be alive .This Cathedral is lovely in many respects reminds me of a Pugin building though I know its not . I think of all those less fortunate than me , I wish I could do more to help them all .The stations of the cross were lovely here I wish I could tell more about them .The peeling paint and emptiness reminds me of my life the workers of my hope . Manchester is a fantastic city with problems like any other and people here the same as people anywhere else .There is a great statue of St Peter here I am guessing he has the keys and I think unlocked my heart .

Historical building that's currently being upgraded. I attend Mass here occasionally.

A lovely place to worship. People here are very nice.

It's a really beautiful monument to the Church's of the past. It's location is also ideal as it's also near the town centre and all the food and shopping areas.I really enjoyed how beautiful, quiet and peaceful it is inside. The internal decor is absolutely wonderful and there's a lot to take in and learn about the church and its past.Would recommend you visit if you're in the area.

The exterior and the east window are beautiful but otherwise the church wasn't in great condition.

Very nice church! Needs bit of tlc but still looks wonderful!
