Priory Park is just a massive field on the edge of Hitchin. Pleasant to walk your dog on.

Was a shame because it was closed when we came at 5pm on a Sunday! Surely they could open it even during coronavirus? Like I said on the review of the actual hotel. Looks nice in the photos though.

Nice walking spot just outside Hitchin. Lovely fields and nice views.Bring your wellies, especially in winter!

Not a park, rather a large field. But a great open space close to the centre of Hitchin. The views are good at the top of the field if the weather allows. Slightly spoiled by dog owners allowing their pet to deficate and not collecting it.

Great place for a walk, sometimes in fields of corn. BUT there is a huge amount of dog poop. It’s in a nice area so I just understand why. Stopped counting at 25 dog poops.

The area in general, with its wealth of wildlife accessible via public paths, is wonderful but sadly marred by frequent patches of dog mess.

Visited during the Hitchin hard half marathon and 10k comp. Didn't visit the hotel, so can't comment on that part of the park.

A nice big field on the edge of Hitchin. Beautiful views to the west of the hills between Hitchin and Luton. Wonderful sunsets. Note that this is *not* a 'park' in the conventional sense, despite the name - it's a farmer's field, and for much of the year it's covered in crops. There are a couple of big footpaths running across it (which join up with Brick Kiln Lane, behind), though, so you can still enjoy the views at any time of year.
