Put flowers here for my nan and grandad for Christmas. Was horrified to find they had placed a bench behind where their stones were. Spoke to the vicar but was told that it was there permanently but it has caused damage to the surrounding stones as people are stepping on them. Disgusted by the rubbish and cigarette butts left on the floor.Definitely not the peaceful resting place we were looking for our poor grandparents.

Located on the village green a significant presence settled on a large footprint: a quintessential churchyard setting.Soaring 19th.Century Vertical Gothic church resplendent with decorative knapped flint stone and a daunting spired tower, dainty pinnacles and a “shove”of flying buttressing.Virtually a textbook of Gothic allusions on display here .An exemplar of the preferred contemporaneous taste with later additions executed by the eminent and authoritative Victorian, Arthur Blomfield.Grade II Listed with an active community.I did not enter.

It has an excellent choir, if you like that sort of thing. I prefer something much more informal.

Friendly people, excellent choir and a really young trendy priest who is upbeat. Services 10am and 6.30pm every Sunday (plus there are weekday services too).

This has been my home church for nearly 40 years. I have seen it go through many changes and it is soon about to undergo significant restoration work. Come and visit before the scaffolding goes up!

Fabulous family sung service at 10 am Sundays with a very large choir that records and travels Europe to sing. The vicar is very proactive and friendly. There is a Sunday club for children whilst the main service is on and the kids bring and present what they have learnt towards the end of the service.
