Dont become a retired member, as this trade union doesn't care less that I was mentally ill and attempting suicide often ,as they completely ignored me even there chief executive wasn't bothered I was being refused medical treatment and there Edinburgh branch stated, they cant help because I didn't work, they take money to become a retired member under false presences disgusted by people who claim to look after their members

My experience of Aberdeen branch of Unison was absolutely terrible unfortunately, I found the agents to be unprofessional and lacking in Empathy overall, I contacted them as I was being victimised at work whilst working in the Care Sector, whilst they were happy to take my money, my situation ended up worse as a result of the agents generalising my situation then arranging meetings to discuss a completely different matter.. This was all done without my consent, I would not recommend using Unison as a union under any circumstance.

Very helpful for what I require as a member got someone working on my case at the moment
