Ex Pupil from 2005 - 2007/8.Terrible school at the time which failed to address the bullying issues that I encountered during my time there which resulted in anxiety. The bullying meant that I had to change schools right before my GCSEs which was not great. The toilet facilities were poor and quite frankly disgusting for girls whilst most of the school's budget seemed to be invested in the PE, drama departments and a brand new shiny reception area.Head of Yellow house at the time was a 'Mrs Skelton' who was the most patronising PE teacher I've ever met. Awful woman.

Awful. Could not wait to leave and never go back.Teachers aren’t the best, apart from the Media teacher, he’s great!Their power gets to their heads a bit so they can be a bit nasty.Bullying isn’t dealt with very well.Mental health is also not dealt with well. They Cared more about my attendance than my mental health deteriorating. The lack of help or care resulted in my anxiety worsening and also made life outside of school very difficult.Year 11 physics teacher wasn’t nice at all.Head of year 10/11 was extremely mean. The teachers put more effort into arguing with the “bad” students rather than teaching. It’s really not a good school and don’t want my siblings to attend as I had such an awful time. This school really killed my joy for things I once had a lot of love for (photography & history especially. Photography because I felt the teacher lacked any enthusiasm so it made lessons very dull, and history because the teacher put little to no effort in lessons and it was majority text book learning.)My experience also made me hesitant to continue education in sixth forms and colleges in fear I’d be stuck in a similar situation all over again. Please think hard before letting your child/ children attend this school. I know everyone’s experiences will be different but I would not recommend it .

I enjoy most of the lessons at EP, but sometimes feel uncomfortable with the people in there. Sometimes I get into arguments with people for no reason or get called weird because of I am a bit hyper and can get angry easily. However, there’s nothing i can really do about that. I am stable with my grades and my friendships now so it’s better than it used to be. I has a nice building, the teachers are well taught and it’s probably better than some other schools.

they don’t help when it comes to bulling and barely care about mental health. I’m going to be moving schools soon because of my experience at ep i personally won’t be and wouldn’t send my child to this school.

I went to the school and was bullied at school for years just because of my problems like my epilepsy and adhd and the fact that I have special needs don't help either and because I'm gay had a massive impact on the way I was treated at school I suffered abuse for years just because I'm Gay

I enjoyed my time at EP, the school was very good at setting up help for my upcoming year 11 exams. I have made many memories at EP. The only issue I can think of is a lack of support for people being bullied.

I attended EP for years 11 and 12, having been brought up in the United States this was my first exposure to the UK school system. I had to complete my GCSEs in one year and received immense support to be able to do that ie. making up course work and catching up on a years worth of material I missed for not being around in year 10. Most of the teachers are wonderful and really care about their students and being educators. I decided to stay on for sixth form for a year before returning to the United States. It is a great institution, there are some characters but the good, hardworking, down to earth, loyal pupils and students alike outweigh the occasional fight or 'beef' but really you get that everywhere. The school has been know to have issues with bullying but even in my time there I saw a decline in it, things are getting better every year. There is something special about this school and I would recommend it to parents of year 7s and to people new to the area as a place where your children can grow and learn because the teachers care and they will be surrounded by humble selfless people. They will be taken care of. I went in scared and they had every reason to reject me because of my timidness and accent and religion but they took me and another new kid right in with open arms and to this day I know those kids would do anything to have my back even with 2000 miles and an ocean between us.
