Staff give different answers in regards to dogs being allowed in. Manager eventually said yes, if in a trolley, which is a bit ridiculous as better for everyone if on a short lead. However, my dog loved being in the trolley as it meant he was even taller than usual which made sniffing all the other shoppers easier for him.

Staff were really helpful and showed me to the product I needed. The store looked well stocked and clean.

Pleasantly surprised initially at the quality of of plants in the garden section. Having just spent 3 years training in horticulture it's somewhere we tend to avoid. Even though slightly over priced they were all healthy specimens. My most local store is very different to this so well done Nelson. The staff were also exceptionally helpful in other sections in the bathroom design ctr and kitchen design. I noticed the store was kept very organised unlike others but most of all moral seemed high amongst the staff who were very keen to answer any questions with a smile. It's in a great location too just off junction 12 of the M65. Will definitely call again when I'm passing.

Friendly staff, always happy to help. If you can't find what you want they will do their best to help. Will be shopping there again soon.

Popped in for a few screws. Plenty of stock but it's frustrating how everything is in pre-packed packs and there are either far too many, e.g. box of 200, or too few, e.g. pack of 20. and for a job needing 50 screws it's either buy 3 overpriced packs of 20 or a big box of 200 for the same cost but have 300% wastage. But I suppose the bean counters have worked all that out to maximise profits.Don't get me started on the price of timber there, and again it's either overpriced for a single length or you can purchase a pack of 5 or 10 more reasonably but have excessive wastage.In summary, okay for a quick trip to finish a job in a hurry, but if you are planning a bigger project there are far better suppliers locally who will supply at a better price and in the quantities you want [and maybe deliver too].

Disgusting awful staff in kitchen section, wasted trip as no one bothered or wanted to help despite promising help over phone prior to visiting store. Please get rid of rude useless staff! Get proper customer service in place!!!! Pathetic! Even the manager who manage the staff was there, and she seemed like nothing wrong happened here I didn’t witness what you are describing! Excuse me but if a customer felt something there must have been something! And he had his back to you! How could you see his expression!His face and the way he spoke to me didn’t make me feel helpful or customer service attitude.Even if you guys were busy you should offer me another personal to deal with me. You could have said nicely we are just doing something can I please get you another staff from our department?! I mean that wasn’t hard! I thought this was customer service!The staff at kitchen looked at me like I was dumb or stupid. Not even a smile on the face and won’t even look properly! Very rude!

We came in today to design our kitchen and get a better idea of what we can do and just want to thank Imran who made it a painless task and helped us through the process and went out of his way to get us the best value for money, he is a credit to the store.

Absolutely fantastic customer service. Plenty of disabled parking spaces & wheelchair friendly if necessary. I've been a few times & I've always got what i needed. Highly recommended for anything you want most of the time anyway.

Came to BNQ for some paint, i got ID, after going back to my car and getting some id he would not accept it. terrible service would not recommend.

Very misleading prices on summer quilts today. I queued for 10 minutes to be told the quilt marked at £10 was actually £14. Trading Standards comes down heavily on such practices. The staff member to whom I spoke could not have cared less.
