Irvine Golf Club

Lovely Christmas lunch. Friendly service, and very warm welcome. Dad, Jim Heron, has been a member since 1970. Mum died three years ago, and he has not been keen to visit alone. I hope he will visit more often now. Thank you all for making him feel so at home.

Just played the Open and the course was in great condition. Greens super smooth. Brian and Sandy who were in my 3 ball were great company. If you haven’t played it before get yourself down there. Brilliant fun.

Travelled through from Edinburgh to play Irvine today and what a wonderful experience. We were met in the Car Park by Tom who meets and greets and showed us the Clubhouse and spoke about the famous amateurs who had played there along with some lovely stories and anecdotes, so interesting. He then set us off at the first and wow what an amazing course! Every hole is interesting and full of character. Some great holes to play. The fairways and greens were a dream to play on and the whole course is beautiful. Tom welcomed us back at the 18th to check how we got on. Everyone we came across was very welcoming such as bar etc, the Pro and other members. Tom in particular is a credit to Irvine and it was great to hear his stories. We will be back for sure as it is now in our Top 10 of courses played in Scotland. Thanks for a memorable day!!!

Brilliant service from the staff and chatty. Well done girls for remembering my Mum was a vegetarian. Stuart food excellent as always and well priced.
