I’ll make a point to visit here every time I visit Cumbria, the food was amazing and the staff were wonderful. Highest compliments to the chef, best sticky toffee I’ve had.

Wow ! First visit for a while and it will not be as long until our next visit. The welcome was very friendly and the allocated table for four persons and a dog was ideal.The menu was extensive and the quality was exceptional. I chose the Seabass which was delicious.A big well done to the owner and her Team as our visit was memorable and I would have no hesitation recommending The Royal Oak, as it was outstanding quality.

Everything was top notch - we had Sunday dinner (7 adults, 1 child and 2 babies in a double pushchair). We booked in advance. The food was served quickly as were the drinks. We had beef, turkey and the veg pie all were amazing with GOOD portions! We all visited on the Friday night we’re we ate and enjoyed the local ales. There was a £1 wheel of surprises and all the staff got involved.

Very pleasant. Friendly staff and lively atmosphere.I’m a real fan. There were three hand pumps, but only one beer (Corby Blonde) was available. I gather this isn’t typical, but was still a bit disappointing for a Saturday night. Overall it’s great to see a village pub so busy. The food looked good, although I wasn’t there to eat. I’m semi regular and I’ll definitely be back.
