My parents had their kitchen surfaces replaced by Sherwood Kitchens today. The service was excellent from start to finish and the workmanship was excellent and highly professional. They are very pleased with what looks like a brand new kitchen and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company.

Initially we were happy with the install, before we had problems with de-lamination of doors. Totally appalling after-sales service. In particular, there's a guy called Bobby who is quite intimidating, blaming our use of a kettle in the kitchen for causing doors to delaminate. Avoid this kitchen supplier at all costs. From other reviews, it's clear that others have similar experience with Sherwood Kitchens when it comes to getting issues resolved after installation. A real attitude problem.

Good design with acceptable installation let down by very poor quality product and appalling after sales service. Within three years, most of the melamine fronts had peeled away from the doors and fascias. Sherwood Kitchens did not answer calls and emails. When contact was eventually established, they refused to take any action, as their suppliers only gave a three year warranty. A premium price kitchen that needs to be replaced after fewer than five years.

Here is an update on our kitchen just over a year after the owner of Sherwood Kitchens stormed out of our home because we were not happy with some aspects of the installation. We have recently replaced our hob as it cracked due to incorrect fitting. It was stuck down with strong adhesive instead of being placed on a cushion seal. It took two fitters over an hour to break the hob up (into a million shards of glass) in order to remove it as it was stuck down so well and they cut themselves terribly in the process. In addition, the work surfaces were not supported properly due to the removal of the existing supporting panels and then replacing them with ones that didn't touch the floor; thereby providing no support to the work surfaces. Again, we have had another firm in to right the wrong. I suspect that some of the soft close hinges have been recycled from a previous job - mainly because they didn't close softly for very long. So far, the rest of the kitchen is behaving as it should. I really wish we had read all the other negative reviews before approaching this firm, as the reviewers have been proven correct on so many levels.

We used Sherwood Kitchens to put granite toppers over our old wooden worktops. The team did a brilliant job, and the price was the best too! Happy to recommend them.

Steve produced a great design, the guys carried out the removal of my old kitchen and rebuild of the new kitchen efficiently and professionally with the minimum of fuss. Great quality units, great quality service and excellent price. Thank you to all involved :)

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. My experience of this company has not been at all positive. In the first place our kitchen was not delivered complete so we had to wait for extra panels and cupboard doors, despite the kitchen being in their warehouse for a few weeks. Then the hinges were all in the wrong places and had to be hastily redone, at extra cost to us. The layout of the kitchen was poorly planned which resulted in our fitters having to move units around to make them fit in the space. The customer service we received was terrible. I feel that once they had our money they lost interest in ensuring that we were satisfied customers.

I would thoroughly recommend Sherwood Kitchens. Having recently had my kitchen unit doors, drawers, worktops and sinks replaced by Sherwood Kitchens, I can’t praise them enough.When I initially decided to look around for a new kitchen, I was slightly despondent at the prices quoted for a complete kitchen refit; whilst the advertised prices all start, “from” a reasonable amount, once the designer has been around and designed your “perfect kitchen”, you then get a quote for £20k+ and after two different quotes for this amount I’d almost given up.I then saw an advert for Sherwood Kitchens suggesting just changing the unit doors and drawers. After visiting their showroom in Kidlington and getting a feel for the quality of the materials, Steve came round to measure and price up. He made some really good suggestions, including changing the worktops to the granite overlay, a new hob and new sinks and after a fairly painless hour we’d agreed a price that I was more than happy with and fitted perfectly to my budget. They are very busy so it was a couple of months before they could start - but actually this seems to be normal for all kitchen shops - but once they did start, I had a brand new looking, really attractive kitchen 3 days later. I’m really pleased with the way it looks and the quality of the materials and I don’t think I would have got much more with a complete refit which would have taken three weeks!Lawrence, the fitter, even pointed out a couple of flaws that I would have struggled to notice at first glance but they were both replaced a few weeks later.So, thank you to Sherwood Kitchens, and I will be back when I'm ready to replace my floors and bedroom wardrobes which they also do.
