Really helpful staff, not as cheap as you think but the advice and friendliness of the lovely lady who helped us, was great.

I went into the York store with my mum and sister in law. I was made to wait outside separate from my group due to COVID, which I accepted. When I went in, I was looking at what I thought was a tester perfume. The give away was that there was no seal and it had clearly been opened. As I was smelling it, the extremely rude blond woman told me in a very stern tone that you cannot sample anything. I explained that is was already open, and there were no signs saying that you couldn’t touch anything. She said “give it to me” and stormed off in the back. Extremely rude, considering it was a genuine mistake. I felt she was accusing me of opening the perfume. A sour end to an otherwise great trip to MacArthur Glen York. My family and I will never shop here again and I encourage others not to either, unless you like feeling humiliated and like a criminal for simply smelling an open bottle of perfume.

Wasn't told about student discount before my purchase. Overheard another customer being offered it and asked if I could return my item and pay again with the discount, only to be told that returns weren't accepted.

My wife loved shopping here, so much to choose from and such helpful & knowledge staff. Recommended to all.As it was her birthday she got a selection of items, Mac, Clinique, and Estee Lauder.Got Blue light discount too !!

Each time I visit or call ahead to reserve products, the staff are always super friendly & helpful & have never let me down. I can’t say enough good things about this store, amazing products at amazing prices. Anyone wanting Jo Malone & many others with a discount, head to this store ❤️

E mails announcing offers never materialise., apparently due to deliveries not arriving. Save your petrol or phone up to check.

Lovely range of products - poor customer service! I went in this store during the height of covid restrictions…I was stood in a queue (as numbers were restricted and masks were required) and watched as a couple of young girls (all without masks) were picking lipsticks and perfumes up with nothing said to them, but there were no signs up to say what the restrictions were in store, so when I was next to go in, I made a beeline for the foundation I wanted…within seconds of picking up a foundation tester, I was yelled at across the store by a blonde assistant, literally shouting at me to put the item down…loud enough for not only the entire shop to hear but the outside queue too! She briskly walked over, grabbed the foundation and huffed and puffed that everything would now have to be sanitised…I’m 52 and have travelled the globe and shopped in some of the most glamorous and expensive stores in the world and I and have NEVER been spoken to like this in any store anywhere! She clearly waits for people who she thinks will be easy targets for her wraith, as I witnessed her saying nothing to a group of unmasked loud girls just moments early! I left the store in shock and anger without making a purchase…she really should not be working in any job that requires any kind of customer service at all!

Good quality products, at reasonable prices. I bought products by Bobbi Brown, Clinique and Mac. The layout of the store is well designed. I got a 10% discount when providing my email address, which was a welcome bonus.

Always enjoy a trip to cosmetic company lots to buy

Absolutely disgusting, the sales person who was ignoring me ,had such a miserable face and when I had to wait for her until there were no other customers in the store she made me wait and without apologizing she served me in silence. Horrible. I am a member of a cosmetic company and she didn't ask for my email address,what if i am a new customer. When you people start collecting customer details. You so like sending millions of emails about your promotions and inviting members. What happened????
