Sound Gaff for first year, get what you pay for, good location between city centre and uni, showers are either Icelandic or Saharan.

Romero has everything a student needs. But doesnt have as many facilities as many other halls.Wessex lane has their own library and games room. Mauflower their own gym. Glen its own computer rooms. Romero has a pool table... Thats it.

I lived there for a whole academic year and It wasn't that great. It's in the middle of the city centre and the uni (you either walk for like 20 min or take the bus) and same with the uni. I would have taken different hall if I had more knowledge about the place.

My daughter had a good 1st year at University staying at the halls. Security, Internet access, cleaning services and student services were all good. Our dayghter recomends this halls to Students.

It does the job, kitchens are on the small side but you're living with up to 5 other people (6 in total)

Pros:-Bike shed, common room with pool table, printing services, lounge, well equipped kitchen-All ensuite bathrooms-Staff are responsive & friendly.-Walking distance to Southampton Common, city centre and stores like Lidl, Co-op, AldiCons:-Room a bit small-No gym or music room-Expensive laundry-30 min walk to uni (but you get your exercise)

Somewhat decent as basic student accommodation, with several flats for 6-8 people, all with shared kitchens and en-suite bedrooms. The kitchens have an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer and two hobs each. The location provides good access to the nearby coop and lidl, and is 25 minutes each to the Avenue Campus or city centre, as well as just 18 minutes from Southampton Central Station. Unfortunately it is a really cold building, especially at night, and the walls and floors are thin so you can hear your neighbours. The showers are very hit-and-miss, and often set off the fire alarms. Also, a few of the washing machines and dryers do not work. There are bike sheds, but bikes still get stolen every so often. The security is not very good!

It's okay. The epitome of what you expect from university accommodation. A place to live. Nice Common room and lovely people
