Machine faulty. Wouldn't accept second £1 coin,. Tried about seven times. So tried card. Didn't work either, but suddenly showed incorrect charge of £3.50, but no ticket issued.Went back to coins. Finally did accept coins.

Typical Brain dead Southampton city council car park. Bays that are marked and designed for nothing larger than a 1960's Morris Minor or an Austin Seven. If you have a Vauxhall Corsa or a Renault Clio they may be the only car that will fit in these spaces. Anything larger then that and you are wedged in without being able to open the door and exit the vehicle. And they cleverly designed the tiny gangway to go in. If you drive in 'Nose first' and all the bays are full you will never be able to turn your car around and exit. It is not fit for purpose.
