Squirrels Childrens Day Nursery

My son loves nursery. The staff are caring and professional and he adores them.Since attending nursery he has really progressed in his EYFS milestones. Staff record key moments and I am able to check online at how he is getting on and see the activities he is doing.He has made good friendships with other children which has developed his social and emotional skills as well as strong bonds with the staff.They prepare fresh food on site and have catered for my sons dietary requirements.A really lovely nursery, and I trust the staff.

Squirrels is an amazing nursery! My son has been here since he was 9 months old and I couldn't be happier. He has come on leaps and bounds, the teachers are incredible at what they do and he absolutely loves being there. This is such a comfort to know he's happy and safe. Would highly recommend Squirrels nursery to anyone.

Our daughter joined the baby room in the summer & she had thrived ever since. The staff in the room are caring, attentive and fun. Our daughter goes straight to the staff at the door every day and clearly loves being there.The staff update us through the day via the online portal so we can see what she is up to and also record her development which I really like.I feel safe leaving her there which is the most important thing to me.

Both of our children attend Squirrels (from November 2017 and December 2020 respectively) and first and foremost they love going there. The staff are friendly and caring and show a real and genuine interest in the children's education, development welfare and wellbeing. All the children have an allocated key worker. The food offered at the nursery is varied and nutritious, is prepared fresh on the premises and they cater for specific dietary requirements (our children are vegetarian). The activities the children participate in are fun and educational and their development is regularly tracked, measured and reported to parents via the Tapestry app. The Tapestry app is great as you can see what your children are doing throughout the day via pictures and commentary. It is easy to access and use. We also receive verbal updates when we collect our children and we also benefit from parents evenings. Wider communication and other information such as childcare invoices and payments is also easily accessed by the Parent Admin app which is simple and easy to use. A range of childcare payment methods are offered. The staff are very supportive to parents and are happy to offer advice in relation to things such as things to do at home to help the children's development, potty training advice and how to address any negative behaviours etc. The nursery run lots of event throughout the year such as World book days, pride and celebrate/recognise different faith events such as Christmas and Diwali. We feel the nursery is very inclusive and that this supports our children to be well rounded individuals. The building setting is a former church and the environment both internally and externally has been maximised to use the vast space available and it is also accessible for those with mobility limitations. It is also safe and secure and access is restricted and monitored. The nursery offer a variety of options in relation to the day's and times children can attend the nursery e.g. part time, full time, term time etc. We send our children 7.30am until 6pm Monday to Friday. Both of our children are thriving educationally, physically and emotionally and are very sociable little individuals. We feel squirrels being a home away from home setting has played a key role in how are children are and we are so pleased we made Squirrels our choice of nursery and preschool and we would highly recommend them to any other parent.

Squirrels nursery is an outstanding home for home childcare setting. When we first entered the setting we felt asif we had already been there before. Everyone was very welcoming and the environment was very calming. My daughter was very much at home". The staff were very helpful and very passionate in what they are doing

Our little boy has attended Squirrels since August 2020. I feel extremely lucky that our son has a place at this nursery as the staff are outstanding! The continuous hard work from each of the staff members ensures that all children have a fun and enjoyable experience during their time in nursery. I have worked in Early Years for many years and it is a pleasure to see such a range of activities each day that are age appropriate and suitable to the needs of all children. Our little boy loves going to nursery each day and it is a huge relief as a parent when you leave your child knowing that they are happy and safe. I personally love the updates that we receive daily via Tapestry. It is nice to see what your child is doing at nursery and it is clear from the photographs/observations that he is always having lots of fun. It makes work life easier when you know that your child is enjoying their day in nursery.The regular updates on Tapestry is in addition to the daily diary that we receive each day informing us of our child’s choice of activities, sleep times and his food/drink intake. Nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff at nursery and their commitment to the children and their jobs is exceptional.Although our son has only attended this nursery for the past 4 months, I feel as though he has been there much longer. He has made LOTS of progress within the different areas of learning and I feel that he has built some lovely relationships with the staff members. I couldn’t recommend this nursery enough and I will continue to talk about this nursery with pride and recommend it to others. Thank you to each and every member of the Squirrels team.

Squirrels Children's Day Nursery is a fabulous place for my daughter. I had never left my daughter with anyone other than close family for short periods of time and I was really hesitant. Squirrels made me and my daughter feel at home and she has now been here for a year. Staff are attentive, kind and nurturing and my little girl talks about them all the time! I get to see all the fun activities they do and I know she has a great time. I am very lucky that I also work here so I to see first hand how fabulous the nursery is. The Manager goes above and beyond to help and support all of the families she works with. Would not recommend any other nursery :)

My daughter loves nursery and I am confident that Squirrels is the best nursery for her. The staff are fantastic and Anais genuinely loves the ladies. The nursery is very welcoming and the ladies are always ready with a hug! The management are helpful and nothing is ever too much. We will be sad when Anais leaves and I know Anais will miss you all, especially Michael and his grub hahaha Xxxx thanks for everything you all do xxxx

Brilliant nursery, it's great knowing my children are happy so well looked after whilst at the nursery and it's great to see photos of them regularly throughout the day via the nurseries app.Squirrels have been great in helping my daughter settle in after not being round many different people before throughout the lockdown the staff were very supportive in helping her to settle in. She's growing more and more confident each week.
