Silvermere Golf

Great public course. It sees a lot of action as it is very conveniently located and extremely popular. The course is slightly warn like most after last summers drought. The greens are hard and could do with some water. There is a great, well stocked shop and driving range.

We annually supply a Pool Table for a Charity event at the golf club and are always well looked after by the staff on our arrival. Just wanted to to say thanks.

I live in Maida Vale and used to play at Richmond Park but decided to give another course a go recently. I decided on Silvermere because of location and the fact I couldn't believe a course this good-looking and with so many facilities was a public course. Very reasonable prices too. I paid £60 for my first round, then £50 and now it's £40 for the winter. I love the course, it's a nice mix of a challenge and really picturesque.

Was the best driving range around but of course another range ruined by greed. Upping the price of balls by £3Put 130 on a card now you get a measly 8 games when you used to get 12 just recently. GREED!

10+ stars for Ellen Tilney .. we celebrated a 60th wedding anniversary a week ago in one of the function areas.. Ellen was assigned solely to 30 guests & offering table service with a massive smile always - she was attentive - kind & took care of us all fabulously & generally just an absolute star all round .. Silvermere are lucky to have Ellen amongst their team .. thank you Ellen for everything

We met in the golf club car Park so we could drive our Aston Martin 's to Brooklands museum in convoy for the owners club heritage festival. Brilliant day with hundreds of Astons.

Great course and great value for money. For a public course there aren't many better around. The 17th and 18th are over the lake and are so beautifully picturesque and to top it off you can have a beer and lovely food whilst overlooking the final 2 holes.

Just got fitted for a driver by Jamie. Top guy and great experience all around. I have also got fitted for a putter in the past, both times I was fitted for a cheaper model than I had budgeted for as it performed better for my particular needs. This for me is always a good sign.

[Edited based on Silvermere feedback]Avoid at all costs, tee times are booked way too close together and rounds can take almost 5 hours. This review was originally written mid-way through the round, at peak frustration waiting on the tee with 2 groups on the hole we were on, and 3 playing the hole behind. I have never been on a course and able to see 6 groups spread across 2 holes.The starter was very nice, and did come up to us after the round to apologise for the slowness of the round. However, it wasn't just because we were a 2-ball, every group we met there (and we had plenty of time to chat to them on the tee boxes!) said it was incredibly slow and often like this. We were told to go straight off on the first tee as the group ahead of us hadn't arrived yet, ultimately I think there needs to be more discipline and tee times need to be stuck to, otherwise the course backs up very easily.I changed my original post from saying it was a profit over players issue, as I can't really comment there and fair play to Silvermere for not raising their prices during Covid. Ultimately though, I was expecting a really nice course and both the tee boxes (really shabby in places), and greens came in below my expectations.

Fantastic golfing facilities. Husband had club fitting in cutting edge facilities. Biggest mega store for golfing goods I have ever been in. Two storey driving range which is automated and has ball tracking device to see what you are doing. Lovely Inn on the lake for drinks, food etc.Would definitely recommend.
