One person dine in, Thursday lunch 1:30pm, not busy. Burger and chips - £14.55. The cheese burger with onion ring & chipotle sauce (called Taxi Driver) was a 6/10 - decent, not amazing. Requested medium rare, received medium sadly, overcooked a tad. Burger stayed together nicely with toasted buns, although my top bun was larger than my lower, I had mismatched buns. Skinny fries standard, nice, went well with the chipotle sauce which I requested (not charged). Longish wait considering not busy and only one person (20-25 mins). No salt or pepper, had to ask for condiments/sauces. Nice large bottle of filtered cold tap water provided. I noticed a table across from me (6 people), one person had their burger at least 15 mins before anyone else, and they had to politely just sit staring at it go cold until the rest turned up. Friendly waiter. Small restaurant, not much atmosphere. Overall, the burger was mediocre, and not great value in my opinion, I think £14-£15 can go further for a better burger elsewhere. Quite a weak effort on the Halloween decorations.

Came here last week and tried the new jerk chicken burger. The burger was delicious and the fries were extremely fresh! Food came out quick and the servers were very attentive. Would definitely come here again.

Food was great as it always is but my most recent visit was very disappointing. I have waited on tables before and understand what it means to have a bad day but some of the service staff act as though it was a deliberate choice to be standoffish and borderline rude, which I really don't get. I reckon it's a management problem. If staff are unhappy then it's normally poor HR, perceived unfairness etc. Either way it was a really poor customer service experience. I felt as though I had offended someone just by eating in!

Definitely not Gourmet! Saturday evening dine in. Disappointing burger, and lacked service. Walked in, had to pick up own menu and just sat anywhere. No one explained how to order, menu says use app.... Downloaded app... Realised menu was more extensive on the app and more expensive on the app well. Ordered at the till eventually. Food bought to table. Had the classic burger, not picture worthy, beef patty, one piece of lettuce, two very thin and not crisp red onion rings, little sauce, had to add ketchup only good thing was you can pick how you want the beef cooked. Grilled chicken burger was dry and tasteless couldn't even finish it, KFC/Burger King would have been better option. Had the saganaki (halloumi cheese) for starters tasted like rubber, not worth it. Sweet potatoes fries were not hot, felt like it's been out for ages. Overall not worth going if you want good service and gourmet burger. Disappointed.

Great service and good food. Alexandra at the West Hampstead branch was amazing. We had issues using the GBK App to order (using a pre-applied app offer), but Alexander went above and beyond to resolve the issue. We can't thank her enough. They have a lot of take away orders (deliverloo/uber eats etc.) so it can be annoying when a load of drivers keep walking through the restaurant to collect orders, but Alexander and staff try their best to keep them at the entrance. Food was great, and the restaurant was kept clean. Keep up the good work. We will be back.

Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK)
I adore GBK! I highly recommend this place. I never get burgers better than i do here even if its at a high end restaurant. However, I am so upset they got rid of the chocolate chips in the chocolate milkshake and the very skinny fries! I hope they bring them back. Don't let that stop you from coming though!
