Manningford Trout Fishery

Friendly staff and locals. Clear lake with very nice trout. Caught 2 2lbers in my afternoon stop here. Beautiful setting with plenty of wildlife around.

Fished the lake on 29th September. Staff Malcolm and Fen are friendly with Malcolm has a wealth of experience and offered some good tips on fishing the lakes which certainly worked. The fishing hut is now open for tea and coffee. Caught 4 nice rainbow trout around the 2lb each.

Love this place, beautifully kept fishery, friendly staff and amazing fishing with a choice to fish the main lake and they have a catch & release lake also and then there's the beautiful river which runs through it. Definitely recommend this place so tranquil and hard fighting fish.

Arrived early and had a throw on squires lake on a C&R ticket had around 10 or so inside 3 hours with minimum effort. All fish around 1.5lbs and the biggest 2.5 roughly. Decided to call it a day at that, then went a walk round manor lake and seen several fish over 5lbs coming out few nice browns among them area is generally well kept (although i personally would prefer it clearer trees etc wise) guy running the place was very nice and chatted for bit. Free coffee/tea and toilet facilities. Reasonable prices and military discount thrown in. Great place overall would recommend but I’d suggest the main lake first then moving to C&R after even if it is good sport on it.

On a family holiday in zeal. Planed fly fishing holiday. Had an amazing time, very friendly and knowledgeable staff also had half a day on the river with tuition. Caught my first grayling. Amazing time and stunning lakes and very well looked after. Nice to of meet Melcombe and Fenn And babs. I hadn't been fishing for around 8 years, had a brilliant morning here with my 81 year young father. With 8 fish between us, best fish 4lb 2oz, the rest over 2lb 8oz.

Fantastic and well looked after Fishery. Malcom and the team do a superb job . Also I caught my PB of a beautiful brown trout at 7.1lb .Thanks Guys and see you soon

A very nice place to fish for trout up to around 8lbs. Rainbow and Brown well stocked by helpful and experienced staff.Good parking and equipment available to hire should you forget your rod ....(really!!)Can't wait to go back and see if I can catch a Brownie (any weight, I'm not fussy).

Nice fishery. Good fish, size and quality. Plenty of water in the lakes.

Easily one of the best fisheries in the country. Excellent value and theres a very real chance of hooking a double or even a twenty. I've had some perfect condition browns here on many occasions. It's a lovely place to be, beautiful lakes and friendly staff. It even fishes well in 30 degree heat, as its fed by the river Avon. What more could you want.
