Beautiful Fire. We had a few teething problems but with a couple of calls and engineer visit everything is all working perfectly. The fire is advanced and the app occasionally wont connect, but like all techie things a quick power cycle and the fire is up and running. The fire place is a focal point in our new lounge and the heater function is very efficient. The guys/Girls at Evonic have been so helpful and understanding. Thanks

Bought an evonic Bergen fireplace for over £2k and can honestly say it’s absolutely hopeless as a fire, very little heat coming off it, we are so disappointed with it, we were hoping it would warm our pretty large room up, but if you’re sat 6ft away, which we are you can’t feel any heat at all. The fireplace really looks the part with the lights and all, but if you’re after heating you’re room, avoid these at all costs, I’m just hoping an engineer comes and can sort it as it’s a waste of money otherwise really.

The fire itself is stylish however broken twice in 2 years. Been waiting 3 weeks for an engineer appointment (at a cost of £125) which was cancelled the morning they were due. 2 days on and they are still unable to give me a date of the new appointment. Now closed for the weekend with no contact, no new date. The customer service chap is very pleasant but gives unreliable information. Wish I had never used this company.

Unfortunately the E1000gf has been the biggest waste of money and the poorest purchasing decision I have ever made. It looks nice but that’s about it. The fire has broken several times and had engineer call outs and replacement pcb.. it now blows out cold air. Useless !! I do not recommend this company and their products and it’s an embarrassment to supposedly good quality British made products.

My husband and I moved house earlier this year and the first thing we did was get another Evonic Fires product installed. We went for a bigger version this time, the Avesta, and love it. The fire is a wow factor within our open plan living area and being able to have different flame effects to choose from is fun…. 10 out of 10❣️

I don’t like to do this about a UK company. I bought the fire 6 years ago , failed within first week . This was down to the cheap Chinese electronics . The frame and glass and assembly may be Uk made , the rest is Chinese . I have turned the fire on less than 10 times in six years and it’s failed again . Sent a letter to the MD and service department , no answer back . Shame really as the fire looked good when working . Bit of an update I was asked to provide contact details , so I phoned explained to Ryan in service department that the owner had asked me to get in touch , Ryan listened and then went to ask someone more senior , the answer back was out of warranty which I understand. Ryan then asked for a picture of the remote and the fire and would I email these to him . I said I would ask the wife to do this which she did as I work away . Since then nothing , I did offer to pay for call out . Again disappointed by customer service.

Please DON’T buy and Evonic fireplace.Over £2000 for the fire insert. I’ve had it less than 18 months and it’s gone faulty 4 times.Don’t do it. You’ll truly regret the purchase.

Hello. We bought an Evonic Compton 1000 from Taskers in Liverpool (Speke) 6 years ago and posted it to Perth in Australia. It actually arrived undamaged and we love it but last week the remote failed to turn on the Lights and Fire Effect. The manual toggle switch works the side lights so there's power there but the remote doesn't seem to operate anything. The light on the remote lights up when buttons are pressed. Any help or ideas would be very helpful. Regards Terry Thanks for the quick response but the online fault form isn't accepting my phone number even though I added 07 or 08 as requested.

I brought this fire nearly 2 years ago and have had nothing but problems with it. I've had an engineer out roughly 4 times and I've still got problems with it and need an engineer to come out again. It does not let out much heat, its noisy, the app on your phone is useless.The only thing I can say I'm pleased with is how quickly an engineer does come out and communication is good, I'm just disappointed with how much the fire cost and the trouble I'm constantly having with it. It's such a shame as the fire looks beautiful in my living room but is no good if it doesn't keep us warm

Bought a Compton 2 fire from our local supplier, issues from day one!!Very very poor quality MDF material, stone side panels not aligned, wedged with cardboard hidden away at the top- colour awful a yellowish colour, very noisy fan too. Ashame we didn't trial this in the showroom- although looks the part it is a poor performer.Had it just 2 yrs & had 2 visits from engineers re fan & motor & just last month had to recall engineers however a £120 call out fee required. They also send you a text message re their visit for 3/4 wks time & if you are not available you wait another 3-6 wks for another appoint- so if you work you cannot negotiate a date with them its all “yes” or “ no” via a text to accept their appoint!!Poor customer service !!!
