I've been to this tucked away bar when it is busy and during these times, the emphasis is on beer. Having a smallish bar, it can seem a tad chaotic so when it came to eating here, I really didn't know what to expect and I'm glad to say chaos did not rule!We enjoyed a great sharing board for starters followed by steak sandwiches and beef bourguignon for mains which were cooked perfectly and the steaks were really tender. Aside from the wedges being slightly cooler than we'd have liked, the overall experience was excellent. The staff were friendly and efficient and the bill, which included a few drinks, was very reasonable. I must admit, I thought Montpellier's was a good place to go to watch football in the Northern Quarter (they have a great cinema room downstairs) but this outing changed my view. They are now well and truly on my food map. I recommend.

I've ordered traditional Goulash with home made dumplings. The food tasted old-not fresh , i think it was defrozen which made taste dumplings very odd .When i complained nobody from staff said sorry or can we make it up to you ???Just acted ignorant. This is not the way how to threat a costumer !

Love this place. Staff are extremely polite and helpful, good selection of beers, and great place to watch some football. One of my favourites in the city centre.

Good place to hangout with friends, good czech beer, cosy place, and not to expensive like for NQ. Big plus for the place is that they've got multilingual staff so good place for tourist from eastern europe.

This trendy restaurant/bar is neatly tucked away in a small section of the Northern Quarter, just behind the infamous SoLita. One of the good pulls about this place is the range of sports they have on TV, although this is restricted to the downstairs bar, which can be a bit gloomy at times. The food is ok although the menu is very small – the Croque-monsieur being the best pick. The desserts aren’t particularly great so best to stick with the mains.Drinks choice is generally good, although last time I went they had half price cocktails for girls only, needless to say my male friends were less than impressed! Pints of lager are around £4 so not one of the cheaper venues either.

Slightly out of the way on a back Street in the NQ, the bar offers a rather generic selection of beer, however that is more than made up by the extensive collection of spirits and the truly excellent food options.Even though the decor is standard brickwork common with all trendy bars, the ambiance and standard of service are both well above average.

Very nice place, you can reserve a table there. Once we reserved a table for friend's birthday and they allowed us to bring our cake, they even gave us cutlery:) very nice staff and drinks.

Small atmospheric bar with good Czech beer.

Poor bar, poor beer.Instead of changing a barrel, bar staff insisted on eeking out every last bit of foam into 10 pint glasses - over 25 minutes. I stayed as long as it took for me to finish my flat beer.
